Today, we're going to head into the gym right away to get in another upper body workout.

Feeling a little tired from time to time is normal, especially when you are dieting, but the fatigue you feel shouldn't be continuous.

Fighting Fatigue

Look out for the signs of overtraining:

  • Excessive muscle soreness
  • Feeling run down and lacking energy all the time

If this is the case, you should consider increasing your calories and resting from exercise for a couple of days.

If you do this, stick with the same foods-just up the calories. This is not an excuse for overeating however. Also, be sure to get extra sleep and rest.

You should do this so you can come back to the gym refreshed in a couple of days. When you come back, pick up your program at the point you left off.

Don't beat yourself up over taking a day off now and then when you need to, but don't get in the habit of blowing off your workouts either, as this can lead to quitting or poor results.
