Which one would be best for a martial artist who fell out of shape and is looking to get back to strength and endurance on the mat? Any help is appreciated.

I think I can help as i was in the same boat man! Try going to www.beginnertriathlete.com. Look under "Training Plans."

They have tons of great free plans, as well as some you pay for that you can choose from to get back to being a beast endurance athlete. I only chose a free one. I recently finished the "Couch to 5-k Aggressive" 16 week program and it worked great. They pace you perfectly.

I also fit it in with steve cook's big man on campus workout which i'm doing now. Its very detailed, and pretty hardcore actually. Also you could fit in 2 or 3 days a week, on off days or something, of just hittin a bag for cardio, or practicing form, kicks, and punches. Hope it helps, good luck bro.

Hey Croketas,
You need to focus on gaining muscle mass, not fat. By just eating a lot, you're not gaining weight in the right places. Like you said, it will just go to your stomach. Get on a good supplement plan and start doing some heavy lifting! Muscle will you give you curves; not fat.

Trust me man, count all your calories. 9 of 10 hard gainers (including myself) think they are eating tons of calories when they are not. if you haven't gained a little bit in a few weeks (slow steady weight with little fat increase) up it by 300. Check again in 2 weeks and adjust again up or down if needed.

I was injured back in Aug. I had my dislocated my knee and I am going through physical therapy and I obviously can't do leg work outs in the weight room with my knee .
So what work out would be the best to work out upper body and skip the legs or is the a work out I can find on here somewhere else that is modified for someone in my condition.

Broncin12,
My bf just went through the same thing. Through his accident, he lost a lot of weight (went from 185 to 130), so he focused on bulking while his leg was recovering. He's just now starting to do light leg work outs again. Maybe focus on bulking for now.

Hi...
I was in a car accident in Feb 2012 and had broken my right shoulder. As a result, i had stopped working out but now that it's been a year and i have gotten used to the injury, i'm ready to head back to a workout routine.
However, i have lost a lot of strength and don't want to over burden/ stress my bad shoulder. Rather would like to gradually ease into it.
What workout program/ regimen would work best for me?
Thanks in advance people.
Have a nice day. :)

All of these programs are great- but I am looking to get my Mom on the right track. She's 64- roughly 5'4", 180 lbs, has a BF% that's way too high, type 1 Diabetes, and bad back/ knees. I am sad to see her feel horrid all the time. I want to help her lose the weight, and regain her health. Any nutrition/ fitness advice/ pre-made programs would be helpful! Thanks!

How's everyone doing? I am new to this forum and bb.com. I am looking to try and win this transformation challenge and don't know which body type I should go for. Its easy to look at others, but for me it seems like I am stuck in the middle. I want my athletic build back with chisel. I don't want to be to big as to where I cant play competitive basketball or flag football. I used to have a decent athletic look, but I fell off on keeping up with myself. Any recommendations on which or what programs may help I would gladly appreciate it.

mft28, you'll shed fat and build muscle but if that ones to hard try something else like 12 week short cut to size, but in any case go check out the mft28 program and check out the mental training, that guy is a god amongst men i love him (no ****), complete that program and you'll feel better about yourself
