Diana Chaloux

Background

I think it is an amazing thing to finally realize what your ultimate purpose in life is! I was lucky enough to discover that my calling was in the fitness industry back in 2002. Ever since then I have had the opportunity to pursue so many different avenues of this business, from personal training to starting my own company, fitness modeling and competing!

My goal with everything that I do within the fitness world is to provide motivation, inspiration and education to as many people as possible. We live in a day and age where the majority of the population has no idea how to treat their bodies, I feel that it is my duty as a fitness professional to be a role model for healthy living and to let people know that they in fact CAN achieve fitness success by taking charge of the choices they make on a daily basis when it comes to eating and exercise.

I am a native Vermonter but I now reside in San Antonio, TX. I was always very active and involved with athletics. I graduated from Lyndon State College in Vermont with a BS in Business Administration in 2000. It was shortly after that when I realized that I had to work in the fitness industry, it was simply what was in my blood. I became a certified personal trainer in 2002. I had the opportunity to work as a fitness director for Norwegian Cruise Lines for a year, followed by a move to San Antonio. Once I got to Texas I realized I was ready to take the steps necessary to become a figure competitor. I won my class in my first two NPC shows, the 2005 John Sherman Classic and the 2006 Ronnie Coleman Classic. These victories prompted me to start my own business Destined 2 Be Fit (www.d2bfit.com ) which I co-own with my partner and trainer Jonathan Uphoff. We have our own strength training DVD which comes with full online support from Jonathan and me via fitness forums and chat rooms.

After a year away from the competition scene I was very anxious to get back on stage. My dream was to become a WNSO Pro and I saw that dream come to fruition in October 2007 as I won first overall in the Fitness Model division at the Mike Kocsis Northeastern Classic! I am thrilled with the FAME organization, what they stand for and how much they focus on their athletes. I am so confident in them that I am sanctioning a show for them here in San Antonio in May 2008! “Diana Chaloux’s FAME South Central Championship & Fitness Expo” will be the first ever WNSO event in the state of Texas! With the title of WNSO Pro in hand I am more motivated than ever to continue pursuing the fitness industry full force and to be the best competitor, educator, motivator and inspirer that I can be.
