Shawn Wells, MPH, RD, CISSN is a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the prestigious International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) run by Dr. Jose Antonio, PhD. and Dr. Douglas Kalman, PhD, RD. These credentials are unique and require demonstrated expertise in both nutrition and exercise physiology.

Mr. Wells is a fully licensed and accredited Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR). He has been practicing for 7 years, during which time he has held the licensed positions of Chief Clinical Dietitian and Clinical Nutrition Manager in acute care, long term care, rehabilitation and critical care settings. Mr. Wells received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Babson College, the number one business specialty school in the nation according to "U.S. News & World Report." He graduated magna cum laude, majoring in both marketing and information systems with a minor in chemistry. After doing his post-graduate work at UNC Greensboro in biochemistry, exercise physiology and nutrition, Mr. Wells went on to receive his master's degree in nutritional biochemistry with a minor in exercise physiology. Additionally, Mr. Wells is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI).
