Joanna Dolgoff, M.D.

Background

Joanna Dolgoff, M.D. is a pediatrician, child obesity specialist, member of the Pediatric Task Force for the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and author of "Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right." She serves as the Official Pediatrician and Childhood Obesity Specialist for NBC's "The Biggest Loser" and is the medical director of Camp Shane, the nation's longest-running weight loss camp. Dolgoff, her program, and many of her patients have been featured on "Today," "Good Morning America," "The Early Show," "Fox & Friends," "Nightline," "700 Club," "Extra," "America's Newsroom," "Inside Edition," the Discovery Fit & Health channel, Lifetime and most major news outlets, including CNN and MSNBC.

Dr. Dolgoff was raised in Roslyn, New York. She attended Princeton University, NYU School of Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency training at Columbia Presbyterian's Children's Hospital of New York. She has previously worked as a private practice pediatrician and is a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. While in college and medical school, she also worked for four years as an aerobics instructor.
