Jeanine Detz

Background

Jeanine Detz has been a health and fitness writer for more than 15 years. She has contributed to many magazines—including Fitness, Fit Pregnancy, and Muscle & Fitness—and was most recently the deputy editor of SHAPE magazine.

A National Academy of Sports Medicine-certified trainer, Jeanine is also the author of Ultimate Core Ball Training (Ulysses Press). She earned her BA in English, Psychology, from Rutgers University in 1997.

Although she used to be a gym rat and step-class devotee, the mom of two now prefers to exercise outdoors by hiking.
