Lauren Ormsbee

Background

Lauren received both her undergraduate and master's degrees in exercise physiology and is currently the wellness coordinator at Florida State University for the Campus Recreation program. In her professional career, she oversees fitness testing and health screenings for FSU and community members, the Couch to 5K program, healthy cooking classes and grocery store tours, a staff of ACE-certified health coaches, and collaborative wellness events on campus. She is a member of the Health Campus 2020 physical health and eating disorder committees and is also a certified Body Project facilitator, a program designed to help individuals improve body image and confidence.

Competitively, she was a collegiate basketball player and continued professionally in the European circuit. Since then, she competes in triathlons, teaches spin classes, and is working toward a figure competition.
