Holly Wilbur

Background

I was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. As a child, I took dance and baton twirling lessons and became a majorette in both middle and high school. Upon graduation from high school, I attended Boston University to pursue a Bachelor of science degree in physical therapy. I graduated in 1992 and remained in Massachusetts where I worked as a physical therapist for several years. In 1998 I auditioned for the New England Patriots cheerleading squad and was accepted onto the team on my first try! For one year, I cheered for the Patriots while continuing to work as a therapist and engaging in modeling jobs on the side.

After a busy year with the Patriots, I took some time off from cheering but kept active with aerobics, running, and weight training. I moved back to Pennsylvania in 2000 to be closer to my family. From 2000-2001, I cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles and was the cover girl of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader's 2000-2001 swimsuit calendar! I got married in June of 2001 and returned to Massachusetts where I currently reside with my husband.

In the fall of 2002, I saw a Fitness America Pageant on ESPN. I missed my cheering days and decided that I was ready to try something new. I prepared to enter fitness competitions hoping that it would fulfill my love of dance and performing while providing me with mental and physical challenges. I also wanted the opportunity to meet other women with similar interests. I have competed in several Fitness America competitions since April 2003. I am hooked and intend to continue to compete! I will be completing this season with a packed schedule.
