Background

Jon-Erik Kawamoto is a strength and conditioning specialist, personal trainer and owner of JKConditioning in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Since taking his first client in 2005, Jon has helped many achieve higher levels of fitness and athletic performance. Although Jon has worked with professional athletes, the bulk of his clients come to him with minimal workout or gym experience. At MUN, Jon was a teaching assistant for several undergraduate courses and also taught an introduction to strength and conditioning course as a sessional instructor in his first semester.

With his experience as a distance runner, Jon gravitates toward strength training endurance athletes, particularly runners of all levels, hence his regular contributions to several running publications.
