1. What's your favorite year-round supplement stack?

I take protein powder post-workout when building muscle. I take my pre-workout along with my BCAAS, and my fish oil and multivitamin with breakfast.

2. What do you add to help support fat-burning?

I don't add; I take away. I cut out Dextrose when losing fat is my goal. I stay away from fats around my workout.

3. What do you add to help support muscle-building?

I take Dextrose with protein powder post-workout for gaining muscle. I take it within 1/2 an hour after my lifting session. An hour later I'll eat carbs and protein from whole foods.

Michelle Hanson

Michelle is an NPC Bikini competitor from Houston, Texas. She has worked as a fitness model, personal trainer and is a Bodybuilding.com spokesmodel.

The next big step for Michelle is to earn her IFBB pro card!

1. What's your favorite year-round supplement stack?

I like ALA with Omega-3, a scoop of Evogen before training, BCAAs after training, and L-glutamine before bedtime.

2. What do you add to help support fat-burning?

I add 2g of L-Carnitine before cardio and 500mg of Green Tea Extract.

3. What do you add to help support muscle-building?

BCAAs and extra protein powder (MRM).

Sean Hardge

1. What's your favorite year-round supplement stack?

My favorite stack is the Roger Lockridge stack. Some might see the price and think: "Heck this is kind of expensive!" But this stack lasted me almost two months. When I budget and buy these products individually, I actually spend more.

This stack has everything I wanted to go to the next level.

2. What do you add to help support fat-burning?

I've used Oxy-Elite Pro to help support fat loss. I also tried a product called Animal Cuts, which I felt helped boost my fat-burning ability. I felt really jittery from the Animal Cuts, but after I got used to the product, I adapted to the feeling.

I do not recommend using 2 packs per day for the beginner. Make sure you follow the directions for the product, but I am confident that anyone using these two products will shed fat when combined with exercise and, most importantly, a good diet.

3. What do you add to help support muscle-building?

Recently I have been using the Pro series from Gaspari's Myofusion, but I like to add in Yohimbe and T Bomb when I really want to support mass-building. These products have been reliable in the past, but I recommend taking time off using these products after cycling.

Read the instructions and it will guide you through the process.

1. What's your favorite year-round supplement stack?

My supplements rotate depending on my goals and my health needs at any given time. However, as one of the "older" spokesmodels (I think I'm the oldest? lol) turning the big 4-0 this year ... my supplementation is focused on HEALTHY-AGING. I am, indeed, the HEALTHY-AGING DIVA!

    • Sun Warrior Raw Vegan Protein ( Chocolate) - Though I am not a vegan, I use this protein due to its hypoallergenic properties and for the simple fact that it is raw, sprouted and cold-processed, making the proteins highly bio-available. I also like that there are zero artificial sweeteners used.

    • Life Extension Super Ubiquinol - Since my supplementation is focused more on HEALTHY-AGING, this is the big gun in my opinion! Co-Q10 is one of our biggest allies to help quench free radicals. As athletes, we may want extra support against oxidative stress on tissues, organs and cells.

Co-enzyme Q10 also helps recharge all other anti-oxidant nutrients to their active states. Other benefits include added support for heart and nervous system function and health.

    • Vibrant Health Joint Vibrance - I have literally become addicted to this supplement. I make into a shake every evening after dinner! Packed with nutritional powerhouses for overall health, this supplement is awesome.

You can get so many nutrients in one supplement here: 10,000 mgs of bovine collagen with 19 amino acids, MSM, glucosamine, hyaluronic acid, boswellia and curcuminoids. I love to blend one serving up in my bullet blender with 1/2 cup of coconut or almond milk, 1/2 tsp. of butternut vanilla extract, and ice! It's a zero-calorie healthy-aging treat!

2. What do you add to help support fat-burning?

    • MRM L-Carnitine 1000 - I like using liquid or powdered supplements when I can; I feel they are more bio available to the body. L-carnitine is an energy powerhouse to the cells. Since the health of our cells is the foundation of healthy-aging, it's important to give our cells as much energy as possible. I use L-carnitine on an empty stomach before cardiovascular work to help support fat uptake by the cells during a cutting phase.

    • NOW Thyroid Energy - Since I do not like to use stimulant fat burners, I choose a stimulant-free approach by giving the body added support during a fat burning/dieting phase. This supplement, while supporting thyroid function with iodine and other nutrients, also has adrenal promoting benefits with the herb Ashwagandha.

3. What do you add to help support muscle-building?

    • Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy - I love this supplement when training heavy in the gym! And the added benefit of green tea extract gives a nice energy boost! I take one or two scoops intra-workout.

    • Olympian Labs DIM - Since I like to approach my goals with a natural perspective, I look to build muscle by optimizing my hormonal health. DIM may help support the body's ability to maintain a favorable estrogen/testosterone balance. This is tricky for women; we need the "good" estrogen for healthy skin, hair and reproductive health.

However, as we age, estrogen tends to become unbalanced and the body needs assistance to clear excess estrogens and allow free testosterone to help support and build lean mass. DIM is great for this. I rotate this supplement in and out of my routine so it can make an impact when I use it.
