How Did You Get Started?

My weight lifting background came form high school and college football. But I became interested in bodybuilding through a friend of mine. He introduced me to a new lifestyle. Thanks Brad Borland!

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I am a huge Arnold fan, so I love the old-school workouts. I am not Arnold by no means so I modify it a little. I usually workout 3 days on and one day off, working out every body part twice a week. I do around 20 sets per body part depending on the rotation. Sometimes more sets and sometimes less. My reps vary between 4 to 12. I use a pyramid style training method. Go heavy and hard.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

My nutrition plan is not basic at all. While being in college, I have done some research of my own about diets. I have taken different approaches from different diets and came up with my own diet. It is a little technical to explain how it works but the diet is easy. I will try to publish it in the future. I stick to a low carb diet for the majority of the time, but it includes carb-loading periods.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Supplements are trial and error for the most part. What works for one may not work for another. But I do believe that Creatine and Glutamine are some of the best on the market. Because I do a low carb diet, Multi-Vitamins are a must.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I am a competitive person and I like a little glory. What other sport puts you in the spot light by yourself like bodybuilding? While all this is true, I love the sport because of its nature. To be good at it, it becomes a lifestyle. It not only matters what you do in the gym, but also what you do outside the gym. I love going to the gym and meeting up with my training partners, you see the look on each others face, and you know it is going to be a great day full of pain. You have to be a little crazy to do this each day, but I love it. The friendship built is like no other, camaraderie!

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

Last year I was in the juniors division. This year I will be moving up to the open classes. I took a whole year to add some more mass and bring up my weak points. I should come in 10 to 15lbs heavier. I am going to be competing in 5 ½ weeks at the Musclemania Delta.

I will also be competing at the Musclemania World Championship in November. My first goal is to win the Heavyweight Open and Overall at the Delta. After that show is over I will be going to Cali to take on the big dogs. If I were to win I will have my Pro status. Of course I want to become Pro. It could be a long road ahead, but maybe not.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

You can do what ever you put your mind to. I know this is a statement that is said and it is hard to believe. I did not think in a million year that I would be doing this, but through my faith in Christ and my hard work I know the sky is the limit. It may be a harder road for some but you can get there if you really want it. Work hard and keep God first and anything is possible.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Of course Arnold is my favorite of all time. No one can match him. I am a big fan of Dexter Jackson. I think he has one of the most pleasing physiques.
