Welcome back majj, Army? I lost 18 lbs after every school I went to. It's frustrating because it sets you back at least 2 months from where you got yourself previously. You'll rebuild, but do it safely man, this is when a lot of injuries occur, when guys try to get too strong/big too fast. Remember your ligaments, tendons and antagonist muscles need to develop along with the "main" parts worked. If you're anything like the rest of the soldiers I knew, you'll make up for it overseas because there is nothing else to do but lift, eat and "do bad things to bad people." Good Luck brother

First off I would like to say thank you for your Service. Secondly (from an Airforce SSGT)I would like to give you a little advice 1. no matter what the workload is, you always have time to go to the gym 2. if by some reason you can't fill your day with crunches pushups and up downs to get that cardio and muscle building in 3. DEPLOYMENTS ARE WORKOUT RETREATS!!! when you deploy your schedule will be EAT,Work,Eat,GYM,SLEEP,GYM,EAT WORK, 4. Pass on what you have learned to your fellow Brothers in Arms. Good luck, Be Safe, God Bless

I know exactly what you mean.. I was out to the gym for the past 18 months, and I went from 195 to 168.. and it's not cute... I will be getting back to the gym this Monday....

Been working full time at night and attending college full time during the day.....

I dropped down to 148 by the end of Basic Training. Not enough eating and lifting, and way too much cardio. Just relax, don't get frustrated it will come. Deployments are nice... when you get to spend time inside the wire. When I can get on a schedule the gym is my home twice a day.

I was the opposite actually from Basic. I gained 35lbs when i went through. I was originally 6'2 155lbs, I came back at 6'2 190lbs. I lost a lot of the weight when i got out of basic and AIT, but now that i've really put myself back into the mindset of gaining I have finally seen results. So 4years after Basic I'm finally back at it! Keep up the good work and push it man. Stay safe and remember, always go FIST deep!

I've been in almost 12 years now. Every school is the same. You will burn some weight and not eat the cleanest because that is what you are given. Treat them like cutting phases if you have some room on weight/tape. I am not the best example now, but I would always gain a little extra and use the school as a cut phase since most focus on cardio. I got jacked up so now fixing the injuries and getting back into it. Good luck man.

STAY active, if you have not being training this is no the time for you to do it, just try to be fucus in gaining the right amount of weight, I have 4 children , I sleep when I wasn't working, my job requires lots of physical , so I can't care less for extra training, for 9 months you body won't belong to you, enjoyed this time of your life without obsession, nutrition its a key now, and stayed active so you don't gain to much, after pregnancy , make it do what it does.
