PGN & Bodybuilding.com Announce 2010 Phitness Retreat Winners
PGN and BodyBuilding.com have selected the following winners for the 2010 Phitness Retreat Competition.
Grand Prize (Trip to Retreat): April Brown of Hobbs, New Mexico
First Prize ($1000 in PGN supplements): Kimberly Bresingham of Lemont, Illinois
Second Prize: ($500 in PGN Supplements): Casey Dow of Calhoun, LA
April's Story
April has an amazing story. She has overcome many obstacles in her life including being a teen mom, dealing with drug addition, two failed marriages and being unhealthy. In 2009, then a mom of two small children, a pre-teen and a wife, she began receiving the Bodybuilding.com newsletter. After reading through many articles on Bodybuilding.com she recalls,
"Finally, something clicked. It was as simple as making a choice. Choose to throw away the chips and choose to start just like these ladies had started. Choose to sweat and choose to make a life change!"
That's exactly what she did! April's goal is to be on stage and she has even purchased a suit and shoes as a motivator.
In January 2011, April will attend Jen's Phitness Retreat. Here is what she had to say when asked about how she felt about winning the contest.
"I've followed Jen Hendershott and Bodybuilding.com since even before my own fitness journey began. They have both been key to my own success. So naturally when I found out they were joining forces for this amazing contest, I just knew I had to enter! And although something deep inside me told me I deserved this and I would win this, I actually forgot all about it after submitting the essay and receiving my supplements. You cannot begin to imagine my overwhelming excitement when checking my voice mail months later I heard the voice of none other than Jen Hendershott! I still have that voicemail notifying me that I won the Grand Prize, and I play it for anyone who will listen.
