How Did You Get Started?
My father introduced me to weight training at the age of thirteen. He was pretty muscular during his time in the Marines (my inspiration). I started lifting seriously in high school for wrestling. My coach used to always tell me that I should try bodybuilding. During my sophomore year at Alabama State University a friend convinced me to enter a show and I did. I trained with Ray "Rayflex" Adkison of Montgomery, AL for seven weeks. I ended up winning the overall in the novice division and my class in the open. Needless to say I was hooked after that.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I lift four to five days a week. Large muscle groups in the morning and small muscle groups in the evening.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
High protein, moderate carbs, and low fat. I have cheat days on the weekend.
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Whey Protein, MRP's, and Glutamine are my supplements of choice. I keep it pretty basic.
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
Bodybuilding is not only a sport in my opinion; it’s a lifestyle that I live everyday. It not only keeps my body strong, it keeps my mind disciplined. Bodybuilding is also in my opinion the fountain of youth.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I hope to become a national level champion and eventually a professional bodybuilder. I hope to represent all that is positive about this sport.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
Be patient. Results take time. There are no magic pills that are going to turn you into an overnight success.
Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
Lee Haney, Flex Wheeler, Dexter Jackson, Shawn Ray, Kevin Levrone, and Lee Priest.
