How Did You Get Started?

I started bodybuilding in college in 1989 to get in better shape because I was studying in police technologies. Since then, I've been hooked.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

The workout program that works best for me is low volume (6 to 8 sets), high intensity (4 to 8 reps) and training two-on/one-off or two-on/one-off and one-on/one-off). I divide my body in three or four programs and repeat.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

My basic nutrition plan is eating six meals a day, in a ratio of 45 grams of protein, 45 grams of carbs (mostly complex carbs) and 14 grams of fats (Udo's choice oil or olive oil).

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

The supplements that have given me the greatest gains were pure Creatine and Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I do love bodybuilding because you don't have to wait for somebody to practice the sport and you are the only person responsible for your success. Bodybuilding has given me self-confidence, discipline, an unstoppable desire to get better and better and by most important, HEALTH! All those qualities are used in many areas of my life and they made me a better police officer, a better person, a better friend and so on.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My future bodybuilding plans are to compete in the 2004 Musclemania Eastern Canada and win the Middleweight category, as I got 2nd last year in that contest. I would also like to place in the top 5 at the 2004 Musclemania Canada, since I got sixth last year. These placings would make me really happy because I know that I have been a lifetime natural bodybuilder but am not sure that my fellow competitors are.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

If I could give a tip to other bodybuilders, it would be to always try to improve yourself and not compare with other bodybuilders. It is easy to get discouraged with all the anabolic steroids that are available and used by some bodybuilders. Just train hard and frequently, eat clean, rest properly and be the best you can be!

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

My favorite bodybuilder is Dave Tuttle, who wrote for Ironman magazine and published a book in 1990 called "Forever Natural". As for pro bodybuilders I like Claude Groulx (2003 Master's Olympia winner) who I trained with in 1993 and 1994. He is a gentleman!
