Why I Got Started
I didn't like what I saw in the mirror or how I felt physically on a day-to-day basis. I'd played a semi-professional sport in my early 20s and have always thought of myself as an athlete but in reality I hadn't been or looked like one in a long time.
I didn't believe my age was an excuse for not being active or challenging myself physically. I wanted to set an example for my beautiful daughters and was not prepared to risk not being around and enjoying them growing up.
How I Did It
I saw the transformation of Chad Evans here on Bodybuilding.com and decided I needed to find out more about HitchFit, which Chad had credited for his success.
I'd been toying around already with sourcing someone for a training regimen and diet, after seeing all the amazing transformations on Micah's website, it would have been impossible for me to walk away without knowing more.
His programs, diet and support system are amazing. Without it I think I'd still be floundering about and getting nowhere. Just the process of being accountable to someone other than myself and receiving weekly feedback and support made a world of difference.
Suggestions For Others
Know exactly what you want to achieve and why you want to do it. This will help you through those moments where you don't want to work out or feel like breaking your diet. "How bad do you want it?!"
Make sure the diet and program you use is designed to give you the results you are after. If you can afford it, get some professional advice. A small monetary investment in good information and advice can save you months, even years of trial and error. I cannot recommend HitchFit enough for providing a sound education on transforming yourself.
Lastly, enjoy it! Find a way to make it fun and enjoy what you are doing. If you look at it as a chore or work it will be a constant uphill battle.
Decide you are going to make this a lifestyle and give it the necessary priority to make it work for you. It's never too late!
