Sure is. I believe in cardio just for the sole purpose that increased VO2 max will make gaining on squat and deadlift that much easier :p. But no sissy cardio here. Only Hell.
Very true! Cardio is important for the sole fact that it works the "heart", the most important muscle in the body! Lifting works the heart as well, but not like actual cardio. Why have a shiny apple, with a rotten core?
