How Did You Get Started?

Well, allow me to set the scene for you. I was 13 years old, 5'11" and 210 lbs. I ate everything and anything I saw, until one day I ate a fried platter of junk and my whole life changed. My dad was a bodybuilder in the 1980's and we have a huge gym in my home, so I decided to lift. At first it was lightweight workouts fueled by a new healthy diet. But, then 6 months later I had lost 50lbs and it was time to build some serious muscle.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

My first year of bodybuilding, I had no idea what I was doing. I was working a lot of chest and biceps because that's all I thought I had to do. Then when I started to get more serious I did a lot of research and all that jazz. But, ultimately I asked my dad what his workout plan was... and I've been using it ever since.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

For starters, I drink a lot of protein! A shake when in the morning, after workout, mid day, night time, and when I go to bed. I don't eat anything with a lot of sugars and fats (no soda, no ice cream, chips, etc). However, I do eat a lot of carbs (pasta) and a lot of grilled chicken and tuna. I'm a cook at Pier Pizza, so I'm around heavy foods all the time, which can be a distraction. Also, I try to stay away from things with a lot of sodium.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I really like NO-XPLODE. It contains caffeine so it really gets me going in the mornings and I also love how it increases my focus while I'm at the gym. I take it 30 minutes before I get there, and when I'm there I'm so ready to take on whatever anyone can throw at me. It does a lot more than increasing strength. I get huge pumps, and a really angry attitude. I really love it.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love Bodybuilding because it's a solo sport. You can't rely on anyone else to pickup your slack. Don't get me wrong being on a team is great but when you win a championship playing football you share the spotlight with your team members. But, when you win a contest in Bodybuilding you've won that contest on your own with nobody's help. Not to mention, if you lose you can't blame anyone else. There's been times when I was on a team and my team wasn't trying as hard as they could've been and we lost… it wasn't very fun.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My future Bodybuilding plans are pretty simple. The ultimate goal is to get a magazine cover by the time I'm 20 years old. It's going to take some work but I think I'm on the right path. Another goal of mine would to be sponsored by a nutrition/supplement company. Getting paid for doing something I love, well that would just be the best.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

If I could just give one tip to a Bodybuilder it would have to be to always push yourself to the max. When I go to the gym I look at it like it's my job, and I always do my best. Whether if it's trying to get one more rep up, or just waking up to go to the gym... it's all about pushing yourself.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

My Favorite Bodybuilders would have to be Frank Zane, Arnold (of course), and my dad!
