How Did You Get Started?

Growing up I never was really exposed to sports a whole lot, my dad played college football but just never got me interested in it. When I got into high school I was recruited by almost every sports coach because of my height, but I had no coordination and was pretty scrawny. It took me a while to figure out that what I wanted to do was be a bodybuilder.

I got started at my house actually; I picked up my brothers muscle magazine and saw Arnold posing in front of a crowd of people. Just seeing how impressed people were by his physique inspired me, so I asked for a weight set for Christmas and that's what I got, I started lifting 10lb plates for bicep curls, and worked my way up.

However, I realized that the rest of my body was falling out of proportion so I did some research using the articles and forums here on for different exercises, training routines, and nutrition plans. Slowly my body started to transform in the mirror. I owe a lot of success as a bodybuilder to!

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Starting out I didn't have much of a set plan, I worked out every day. With work and school, I work out Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, taking Wednesday and Sunday off from lifting, and intense cardio Saturday seems to be working great for me.

Day 1: Chest/Triceps

I stretch both chest and triceps between each set for at least 10 seconds

Day 2: Back/Biceps/Forearms

Between each set I hang from a pull up bar to stretch my lats to the max.

Day 3: Cardio/Stretching
  • Cardio: 20 minutes high intensity
  • Stretch all muscle groups
Day 4: Legs

I stretch before and during workout between each set, making sure to get full extension of the calves.

Day 5: Shoulders/Abs

I stretch both if possible between each set.

Day 6: Cardio Only
  • Cardio: 20 minutes high intensity
Day 7: Off

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

The supplements I stick to are basically pre workouts such as Jack3d by USPlabs, and BPI's 1MR as they give me intense focus and drive. During my workouts I like to drink SizeOn by Gaspari, I think it helps me get through a long workout maximizing my energy for those leg days.

I like to take Glucosamine/Chondroitin every morning to help support my joints with all the heavy lifting. I take a multi-vitamin to make sure I'm getting 100% of the vitamins I need for the day.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love bodybuilding because when you walk into that gym, it's a level playing field; you get out of it what you put into it. I love to watch people's confidence boost when they see the results they get from hard work. I love bodybuilding because it's an art, and nobody out there has the exact same body as you do, you're unique.

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

Looking in the mirror always motivates me, I have a bodybuilder's and artist's mind set, I can see what I want my body to look like and where I need improvements. When people tell me I can't do something it has to be my greatest motivator, actually more so than the people who are always telling me I can do it. When I fail, I immediately start planning how I will succeed next time.

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

There is nothing I love more than fitness and bodybuilding; it is one thing that gets me up in the morning. I wanted to succeed in something I love doing. It's something that I can be proud of and have fun succeeding with.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I would like to compete this July, and also do professional photo shoots. I would love to do fitness modeling and continue bodybuilding at the same time. Overall my goal is to perfect my physique to my vision. Someday I would also love to be a personal trainer, and maybe own my own gym!

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Don't be afraid to fail, and when you do, let it motivate you to work even harder next time. Find ways to switch up your routines otherwise you will go insane! Switch up the chicken breasts and rice every once in awhile. Keep your body guessing in the gym.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane, Ronnie Coleman. Also all of the people on with amazing bodies that have worked their butts off to get that body. The people who aren't as fortunate as me in life but still keep going, and achieve their goals really inspire me.

What Features Do You Use On

I use the SuperSite a lot, and when I'm looking for the best deals I use the Store, and I have relied heavily on the forums for tips and advice. I use the progress pictures to track my visual progress. I have posted a workout video of my transformation over 3 years showing all of my bodybuilding progress. I like to use the body stats tracker so I can keep tabs on how far I have actually come, it keeps me motivated!
