Vital Stats
Group Profile: Gun Club
Group Founder: Ironwill002
Date Founded: January 10, 2009
Number of Members: 798 (as of May 9, 2010)
Group Description:
This group aims to improve overall muscularity and grow seriously huge delts, biceps, triceps, and forearms and to have fun in the process.
Group Commitment:
"Every member of this group committed to..."
Each member commits to dedicating at least one full workout session a week to concentrate on arm and delt development, and to keep others in the group up on progress, possibly through photos, lifting journal, or just a running measurement.
You don't have to have big arms now, just want them to grow crazy huge. We also want to motivate each other to constant improvement and growth.
It just feels great to flex a quality double bi to the delight of anyone who watches. We have a common interest--arms of mass construction!
A: First, I want colossal biceps and mammoth triceps and I want people to notice and be in awe of them. Doing that as a group is easier than the Lone Ranger approach.
I want to see how pooling our knowledge can improve the quality of workouts for at least one major body part. It's not just about big arms, but having big, vascular "guns" is a pretty neat thing and sets the best bodybuilders apart from the rest.

A: My personal stats have steadily improved. It motivates me to gather around people who also want massive arms spilling out of their shirts and straining their sleeves to the breaking point.
But it's also very gratifying to see the gains being made by the literally hundreds who have joined since I set it up. We're all "gunning" for the same goals. And it looks like there are plenty of members who are getting huge arms!
A: Sometimes just to pick each other's brains for ways to improve routines. We all make mistakes in the gym, and I've noticed how members are asking each other questions and getting good pointers.
We also enjoy watching each other grow bigger and bigger! It's partly competitive, trying to get more muscle, but it's also gym camaraderie too. We all have similar goals. We're all a little obsessed with muscular arms and crazy about building them up.
A: The Gun Club is a diverse mix that runs the gamut from professional bodybuilders to amateurs just starting out.

A: What helps most is a high level of motivation to grow massive biceps and triceps, coupled with a natural athletic intensity.
A: I want to convey a sense of bodybuilding accomplishment in the same fashion that I feel it myself. It also spurs me to work harder so I have the creds to offer timely and accurate advice. You naturally trust people whose words match their deeds.

In The Same Fashion That I Feel It Myself.
A: Big, thick, vascular arms are the hallmark of the sport. Strong arms have come to symbolize physical strength overall. It's the first thing you usually notice about an athlete. And guys love to impress the chicks with big biceps! Works the other way too!
A: We've been very supportive of one another and that has transferred to other relationships at home and work too. If it's a team effort, we can accomplish great things together. I also like the idea of having fun.
A: Since we focus on one body part, you really need to see our group as a piece of the puzzle and not the whole thing. I personally belong to other groups too for a good, well-rounded approach.
But you can't be a legitimate bodybuilder without those big, muscular arms, bulging bi's, horseshoe tri's, and roadmap veins! Arm day is usually more fun at the gym than leg day!
A: I like to offer training tidbits that my experience suggests will improve their workout results. And I also just get out of the way and let the members post their photos and stats and show each other the results of their efforts. Seeing is believing.
The Power Of Groups
The cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does." So what's the secret? Why are groups so powerful? The answer lies in their social dynamic!
- Group members often have the same goals.
- They motivate one another.
- They learn from each other.
- They become a family that provides support when times are tough and entertainment when things are good!

Build Success:
Having the right social network can define success in any endeavor that you pursue. After all, a man is judged by the company he keeps. Someone who shares your goals can help you overcome any adversity.
Finding that person, however, can be just as difficult. A BodyGroup can connect you with people who can mentor you, challenge you, and exchange ideas that you might not have come across otherwise.
Help Others:
You, in turn, can help others on the same path. By acting as both student and teacher, keeping an open mind to new ideas and different methods, you may be the catalyst to the success of your group. Helping someone else with their goals can be very rewarding, and oftentimes, we benefit just as much by helping out.
BodyGroups are a great way to ask questions, learn, and make progress in a fun and positive environment! No matter what goals you have in mind, don't do it all alone-join a BodyGroup and find all the support you need, any time, all the time.
Joining a group is quick and easy! Find a group that matches up with what you want to do, check them out, and join! Then it's just up to you to contribute and communicate.
Start Your Own Group:
What if the group I am looking for doesn't exist? Maybe you can't find the group you were looking for. That's ok, because you can start your own group, and then invite others to join you! You can even start and be a member of multiple BodyGroups. If having one circle of friends is good, then more is better!
