How Did You Get Started?

I was a junior in High School working at Gold's Gym. I was always known to being the guy in school with a nice body. I played sports and was really active but it wasn't until I started working out when I really started to get compliments on my body. Since I worked at Gold's I had a free membership and I took fully advantage of that. I was in there training and talking to other bodybuilders all the time. They and the way they trained inspired me. They seemed unstoppable and so serious. I never thought about bodybuilding until I went to a local show with an IFBB Pro Bodybuilder named Emeric Delzeg. I met him at the gym and it was him who showed me the steps on how to diet and train. It was him who said, you could do that. From that day on, I took weight lifting serious, and from that day on, I've trained hard and have been dedicated to the sport and nutrition.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

In the off-season I eat a lot and train heavy. 3 to 4 sets, 6-10 reps for each exercise. I eat a lot of steak and chicken. I also treat myself to pizza or some other kind of junk food once in awhile to satisfy my cravings. Treating myself to such foods helps me stay strict when it comes to competition time.

When it comes down to getting ready for "SHOW TIME", it's no joke. I eat very clean. Chicken, tuna, with green beans or broccoli. I also like to eat yams sometimes. They help crave my sweets. I don't mess around. This diet works for me. I eat a meal every 2 hours, so I don't have time to make any kind of fancy foods. Tuna straight from the can, with a can of green beans on the side. My goal is to take in 400 grams of protein a day, and 200 grams of carbs a day with 3 gallons of water. My workout doesn't change much other than adding 30 minutes of cardio twice a day. 30 minutes in the morning, and 30 minutes before going to bed.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

PROTEIN! When I first started weight lifting, I wasn't seeing many results, until I learned the importance of protein. Anytime I would get a magazine, I would look for articles on protein. I then immediately upped my protein intake and POW! FULL BLOWN BABY! I put on about 30 pounds of solid muscle in 6 months. I also take Ripped Fuel to help me get a good crazy animal workout pump.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I wish all people could feel the way I do. Confident and motivated to do anything. Bodybuilding to me is 90% mental and 10% physical. You need a strong mind. Dedication and when times are down, you need to search for that motivation. Reward your body and it will reward you. I don't know how else to explain it. In bodybuilding, you are your own team; you are your own champion. My goal is to always look better than how I looked yesterday.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

To get bigger, better and stronger. To help others achieve their goals. To keep the people around me motivated. Helping them keeps me going. I've been helping my fiancé reach her goal and she's doing great. She has it in her to go far, so it's my goal to help her with her goals.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

DON'T QUIT! Keep reaching for goals. Keep reading and taking advice. No matter how satisfied you are, never stop learning.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

My good friend Emeric Delzeg, who's always helped me and who will kick butt at the next Masters Olympia. Watch out for him. Flex Wheeler for his incredible symmetry and Lee Priest for his massive body.
