How Did You Get Started?

I got started in 1998 due to the fact that I work in an all male prison and wanted to just get "bigger". When I first stepped into the gym I weighed a whopping 165lbs. I first competed in 2000 and got smoked. I went back into the gym and trained my ass off and the next year competed twice placing third at each show. In 2002 I stepped back on stage winning the Evergreen State BB Championship's overall at 182lbs. and 3% bodyfat.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I train four to five days a week in the off season and one bodypart each workout. I believe that your body needs all the time it can get to recover from each workout. I feel you should train as heavy as you can and as hard as you can each workout. "Train hard or go home". When I'm preparing for a show I train 5 days a week and do minimal cardio. I believe in controlling fat loss during a diet by food intake. Too much cardio and you'll burn muscle.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I believe whole heartedly in MuscleTech products. Cell-Tech in the offseason combined with Nitro-Tech, and add Hydroxycut pre-contest. I know there are a lot of supplements out there but this is what truly works for me. (And if your listening MuscleTech how about a sponsor?)

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

The reasons I love bodybuilding are that there truly is nothing else in life that can change a person more than bodybuilding. Your self- confidence will grow each day as you're dieting down for a show. As your body transforms by your hard work and determination. To know that you control the shape and size of your body by how much time you spend in the gym busting your butt and no matter if you win or lose the day of the show you are a winner by just stepping on the stage is great. True bodybuilders are only a small % of people in this world. "Anyone can talk about doing a show but only the real bodybuilders can diet down and step on that stage."

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I'm currently training for the 03' Washington State Championships in Oct. My weight will be about 230lbs. At the peak of my offseason and I'll compete at 198lbs. My goals are to hopefully qualify for a national show and do the Jr. Usa's. Besides that I hope to continue to grow and stay injury free.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

The only tips I can give are the ones for motivation. Never let someone get you down, anyone can talk the talk but can they walk the walk? Remember to listen to your body. I personally will never take bodybulding advice from someone who has never stepped on stage. This is just my opinion. And no matter what anyone says if you get on stage win or lose you are a winner for just gettin' up there.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

My favorite pro is Shawn Ray. To me he truly is an ambassador of this sport, and an underrated pro. My other favorites would have to be my trainin' partners: Michal Kindred, and Mark Dugdale both national level competitors who I look up to each day we train and to only hope to get to the level they are at. These to guys make me believe that I to can make it to the next level, and for that I give them all the thanks in the world. "You guys are my favorite bodybuilders."
