Why I Decided To Transform

I started working out while playing football back in high school when I weighed in the 150's. I was tall and skinny and ever since then I started eating heavy and lifting heavy. I started making some real good gains.

I always thought having a great body structure would boost my confidence and motivate me to live a healthy lifestyle. Sitting around the house playing video games and destroying many bags of chips in the kitchen really didn't do justice for my body.

I wanted to become a personal trainer, so I started hitting the gym to get my foot in the door. By showing people results, I wanted them to know that if you have a goal to reach, go out and get it done.

Your main goal can always be achieved, it's just a matter of if you really want it bad enough. I got a gym membership. Now my new lifestyle journey will begin.

How I Accomplished My Goals

When I first started going to the gym, I would just walk straight in and start pumping weights. I usually stare at people bigger than me and would copy them. With little knowledge, I also worked out my entire body every single day. At the same time, I would finish my workouts, go next door, and buy four slices of pizza and a soda. I knew something was wrong, so I started to fix my mistakes.

I started surfing around bodybuilding sites (mainly Bodybuilding.com) and would always take about an hour a day to go through the articles. From this point, my knowledge increased and I started changing my routines. I split up my workouts into different body parts and really concentrated on each muscle group.

From here, I started to execute my workouts with proper form, which I lacked before. Every day I stepped foot in the gym my motivation would rise from the day before.

I increased weight every other week or as needed. Changing my diet was a big factor in how my body started to transform. I lost about 15 pounds and every time I looked in the mirror all I saw was dedication and motivation.
