I was always thin and in shape growing up (I graduated high school at 119 pounds) and didn't have to work hard to maintain it.
Fast forward almost 30 years, I finally looked in the mirror and was truly honest with myself. I was overweight and out of shape. I was embarrassed to go to the beach or be seen in public with my shirt off.
After a physical with my doctor, who agreed I needed to lose weight and was not happy with my blood work numbers, I decided to get serious.
I changed my diet, workout routine, and started drinking two gallons of water each day.
The diet was a constant battle. I had to give it my full attention and focus to get through the day without cheating. Saturday was my only cheat day.
I want to continue on my journey to fitness happiness and success. It's a never-ending battle, but it's something I enjoy and value.
