How Did You Get Started?

The beginning of 2009 I wasn't happy with what I saw in the mirror and I decided, with the help of my personal trainer (Charles Dorsey, Jr., Owner, Dynamic Fitness), that I was going to do something about it. Through a strict diet and training regime my body started to change and we visited the idea of competing in figure. However, I was not quite able to develop my shoulders to be completive in figure. So, this year when bikini division was announced, I had no more excuses and entered a few shows in the NPC with the goal to compete in the Maryland State Bodybuilding, Figure and Bikini Show.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Monday - Back/Shoulders/Arms/Legs/Abs:

Tuesday - Quads/Calves/Abs:

I did 2-a-day cardio Monday-Friday. AM cardio was 45 minutes on the step mill, PM cardio was 45 minutes on the treadmill at an incline. Saturday I did 3 a day cardio (AM: stepmill-45 minutes, afternoon: 20 minutes of sprints; evening cardio: 45 minutes on the treadmill)

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love to see the changes in my body, the energy I obtain and the positive motivation that comes along with succeeding. I love reaching and exceeding my goals whether its 5 extra minutes on the treadmill or lifting 5 extra pounds that I wasn't able to lift the week before. I love that I have been an inspiration to my peers and that I have been able to make a positive lifestyle change in their lives through example.

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

Everyday that I stayed true to my diet was like a battle that I won in the war to lead a healthier lifestyle. As time went on, my diet didn't feel like a diet anymore and my craving subsided. My workouts became easier, my energy increased and my body started to change all over. There is way more positives that come out of eating healthier and working out than there are negatives.

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

I felt that I was not using my full potential. I went to a bodybuilding show and was floored at how amazing everyone looked. I thought to myself, I wonder if I have the discipline to be my best. From that point on I was focused, determined and diligent on making a lifestyle change.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I plan on participating in various regional NPC shows. I plan to compete in the 2010 NPC Nationals. I would love to start fitness modeling and doing promotional advertising for supplements!

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Never, never, never give up. You're responsible for what you see in the mirror, and only you have the power and tools to change what you see and lead a healthier lifestyle.

What Features Do You Use On

What features haven't I used, that would be a shorter list. has it all. Prior to hiring a personal trainer, I used the logs posted on how to become a fitness model posted by Christina Lindley. I watched the videos posted for each exercise which showed me the proper form for lifting.

I became familiar with the terminology for the various exercises. I ordered all of my supplements, shaker cups and Pro Tan from is a one of a kind place for fitness minded individuals. This site did more than help me achieve my goals.
