How Did You Get Started?

I actually started when I was living in Pittsburgh, PA. I had always admired one of the trainers (Stacy Watters) at the gym for doing fitness competitions. I wanted to compete but knew I had no gymnastics ability in order to perform at the fitness level. That same year, Figure was introduced into the competitive arena and I began training along with Stacy and absolutely fell in love with the sport and the competitions.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

    Sunday: Abs/core class; hamstring work; cardio 30 minutes
    Monday: cardio 60 minutes
    Tuesday: alternating weeks - heavy back/light chest; cardio 30 minutes
    Wednesday: alternating weeks - heavy calves/light legs; cardio 30 minutes; abs
    Thursday: cardio 60 minutes
    Friday: alternating weeks - heavy shoulders/light arms; cardio 30 minutes
    Saturday: cardio 30 minutes

I do a mix of free weights and nautilus equipment and train in circuits consisting of 4-6 exercises.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

In the off-season, I typically follow the Body for Life Diet to keep me on track with a "cheat" meal once a week (this is when I'm not in the middle of football season - during that time, well, let's just say, it's pretty much a free-for-all!) During competition season, I start with the basic Body for Life platform for a few weeks and then begin to taper off to 5-6 meals a day consisting of 1 carb + 1protein, lots of water, and my supplements.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

EAS Muscle Armor and Phosphagen Elite have by far given me the best results throughout the years. Over the last year, they have helped me go from 30% BF to 10% BF and add approximately 12 pounds of lean muscle mass even during my strict competition dieting! And, not to mention, they taste great - just like Tang!

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I absolutely love the challenge of being pushed and pushing myself to levels I never thought I could attain. It is such a rewarding hobby and not to mention the health benefits as well. The physical and mental transformations I have been through have truly been life-changing for me!

I have also met some amazing people along the way - other competitors, fans, and trainers - that have become lifelong friends and supporters. And, as far as the competitions, where else could you wear a bikini AND hoochie momma shoes in public without getting arrested!!!

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My next challenge will be competing in the upcoming Arnold Classic - Amateur Division in Figure, which will be held in March 2007 in Columbus, OH. After that, I plan on tackling some National-level NPC shows with the hopes of acquiring a pro card at some point.

I will also continue competing in the IFPA. I also plan to do some more modeling work with a few supplement companies and continue training, encouraging, and motivating others that wish to compete and/or make lifestyle changes. I am just getting started with competing so I plan to be around for a long time!

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Short, simple, and sweet... Be realistic but dream BIG (and have fun)!
