How Did You Get Started?
When cheerleading season ended for me about a year ago, my boyfriend talked me into going to the gym with him. I had been to the gym many times before but I always stuck to the "Girl" stuff, like cardio and abs only. I learned how to workout properly and began intense training in September when I went to University. When I started developing muscle I thought about entering a fitness competition. As I added more and more muscle a trainer at Diamond fitness (my gym) suggested I give bodybuiding a try, so from there on this has become much more than just a hobby. In april 2003, I placed 2nd in the women's lightweight division in the NSABBA bodybuiding provincials held in Halifax.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I love bodybuilding because this lifestyle suits me better than anything else. Seeing the results I can achieve in the gym shows me why I love this sport. I love setting an example to other people through my dedication and hard work. My day does not feel complete without working out and adequate nutrition.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
Next April I plan on doing Provincails again, hopefully to take the win! Then, I hope to head off to the Canadian nationals. I plan on doing this for a long time continuing to meet and exceed my goals.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
When I'm working out a lot of girls ask me "How do I get in shape" and usually a lot of the time girls and guys don't get enough protein. I can stress enough how important protein is for muscle building and the results youb can get from it. Each meal is not complete without protein.
