Q
How Did You Get Started?

I moved to Houston where I was a personal trainer and nutritional chef. I then met an amazing trainer who entered me in my first competition and I was hooked from there.

Why Do You Love Fitness/Bodybuilding?

It's a sport that makes you develop such a strong self discipline that ends up helping you in every area of your life down the road. You not only look great but you feel even better. Being in shape allows you to live life to the fullest and I love that!

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

Knowing that every day I can handle any challenge thrown my way. It's crazy but weightlifting not only makes my body stronger, it makes me mentally stronger as well.

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

Seeing how so many people in America don't have the self control or discipline to achieve theirs. I don't want to be average or normal. I want to live above and beyond and set a new bar. Give others something to aim for!

What Are Your Future Fitness/Bodybuilding Plans?

I plan on earning my Pro Card this year. I also have a fitness DVD coming out soon as well as my first fitness cookbook. I will be working on my female fitness book as well. I want to show women how they can get started in the industry and let them in on what really happens behind the scenes - the good and bad of competing.

Editor's Note: Taylor currently holds her IFBB Bikini Pro card. When she submitted her profile to Bodybuilding.com, she was still an amateur.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?

Never give up. When you feel discouraged and feel that you can't push any farther, you CAN! It's all a mental game.

Who Are Your Favorite Fitness Competitors/Bodybuilders?

I would say Jamie Eason and Sherry Goggin. I love how strong and independent they both are. Great role models for women everywhere at any age.

What Features Do You Use On Bodybuilding.com?

I love reading through the recipes and exercise articles. It helps me get up and get moving!
