Where are you from and how old are you?

I'm 45-years-old, of Mexican descent, and I live in Michigan.

How long have you been visiting Bodybuilding.com and using BodySpace, how did you find out about it.

In 2005, I opened my BodySpace account, but I'd been checking the site a long time before that.

Have you met any BodySpace members in person?

Yes, I have met one member from Bodyspace, my workout partner (Fuzza).

What do you do for a living?

I am a software quality assurance engineer.

What made you decide to get yourself into such great shape?

When I was younger, I was a skinny kid with a lot of social problems. I was very unhappy with the way I looked and had a very low self-esteem. In my search to improve my appearance, I found Bodybuilding.com. When I opened an account I was too shy even to add a photo.

In 2007, I had a health issue where I wasn't able to work out for over a year. I got out of shape-my body fat was almost 18 percent and I lost 25 pounds. Once I got released, I decided to be serious to reach my goals.

Little by little, with the help and support of a lot of members - especially one member, my workout partner Fuzza - I began to improve my body and feel better with myself.

Thanks to the information from Bodybuilding.com and members support, I have not stopped making progress. My improvements have changed my personal life also.

What is the most important thing you've learned since you started training?

I have learned that no matter what you read or listen to, it will never make any sense until you try. You are the only one who will make the effort to reach your goals.

What is your favorite body part to train and why?

There are two. I like to train arms. I love to feel the pump and see the vascularity. I also love training legs. They're my weakest body part and always a challenge.

What is the best fitness advice you could give to someone who is just starting?

Be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day, but with daily effort, you'll succeed.

Did you make any mistakes when you first started working out?

I made a thousand mistakes. Not eating right, being inconsistent, not having a not good state of mind, not believing in myself, using incorrect form-you name the mistake, I made it.

What's your favorite thing about Bodybuilding.com?

That's a hard question. I like BodySpace because of the motivation and support from other members. The store is amazing because of the prices and product ratings.

And the SuperSite where you can find the best information: workouts, videos, articles, interviews and advices.

What are your future fitness goals?

I would like to compete. Even though I'm 45, I've seen a lot of members who are older than me and in great shape. They show that age is just a number, and there are no limitations.

Is there anything you would like to say to all the BodySpace people out there?

Bodybuilding goals aren't obtained in one day. It takes time. Just keep focused, train smart, and eat right, and one day you'll wake up and see the difference.

Put your body and mind into each workout. Never give up!
