How Did You Get Started?
I started out as the original 8 stone guy wanting to gain a bit of muscle, I was always into sport, boxing and running were the sports I was doing until I got injured. In the early 1980's I met Walter O'Malley, a former Mr. Universe, he invited me to his gym and I immediately knew that one day I would want to compete. I studied hard about nutrition and training and took my NABBA senior instructors award. In 1996, age 38, I entered my first competition: The Mansfield Classic, I won the first timers and over 35's. I was bitten by the competition drug. I eventually won my first British Title in 1999, the EPF Novice, in 2002 when getting ready for a show, I was involved in a serious car accident, it left me with brain trauma, but in 2005 fully recovered, I won the NABBA and NAC Masters.
