Have You Tried Ginkgo Biloba?

You know the deal, 6 meals per day, at least 7 hours of sleep per night, blah blah, etc blah. So what can you do, well, take some Ginkgo Biloba.

Today everyone is looking for a way to enhance his or her workouts. Many use caffeine and ephedrine (ECA) stacks. These stacks work well, but can only be used for so long before the body adapts to them.

Also, they are better to be saved for dieting. So, how can you get an extra edge to have a better workout? Well, as always, make sure your diet and rest is in order. You know the deal: 6 meals per day, at least 7 hours of sleep per night, blah, blah, blah, etc. So, what can you do? Well, take some Ginkgo Biloba!

Ginkgo Biloba

What—ginkgo? I thought that was just for old people who couldn't keep a train of thought? Nope, you're wrong! Ginkgo can be a very beneficial herb to bodybuilders, as well. It works by dilating blood vessels allowing blood and oxygen to flow more easily to the brain, ears, eyes and other extremities.

The pump you get in the gym is from blood flow to a muscle—the more blood flow, the better the pump. This isn't the reason to take it though...

Ginkgo also acts like an antioxidant, scavenging free radicals that can break down muscle. Again, this isn't the reason why I recommend it, however. Lastly, and as I said before, ginkgo improves brain and memory function by enhancing oxygenation. This improves mental clarity and thought process. And that is why I take it.

By being able to think better, you can concentrate better, and in turn your intensity will go up. I started taking ginkgo about 5 months ago, and slowly started to feel its effects. The main thing I noticed was that my intensity in the gym had gone up.

I was able to concentrate on pushing out that last rep, and when I failed, I failed harder than ever before. Now, some of this is because the more you lift, the more experienced you become, but I also attribute much of it to the supplementation of ginkgo.

If you are looking for a safe, inexpensive way to increase your intensity, I highly recommend that you try ginkgo. 80 mg's standardized to about 24%, taken 3 times per day, will improve your concentration in both the gym and the classroom. So, give it a shot, and you won't be disappointed!
