I bought this belt as I was in need of a new training belt. I have taken an interest in lever power belts. The material of the belt is OK. It's not great. The leather material isn't the best. If you are a guy that sweats a lot, then you are going to have a hard time with this belt, as it absorbs it like a sponge, turning the material (especially where the lever is) to spaghetti, twisting the leather. And yes, it seems that like most people who bought this belt, one of the pins loves to come off. It's like it wants to see what you are doing. You can slide it back in or just use a dumbbell and whack it a couple of times. However, it will always slide off. Right now, this belt is starting to become useless, as I am a sweaty guy and this belt has twisted and morphed into something else (where the lever is located). I have used other belts made with the same material but never had it twist into spaghetti. I wouldn't recommend this belt to anyone but I made my choice, and I have to stick with it.
After 10 months of rare use the lever broke. Waste of money. Shiek or bodybuilding should fix the quality of the lever.
first of all, the belt is great for a couple of days.... I only use this for squatting within a few days I notice that it was hard to lock. The pins were coming out making it hard for the belt to lock. I would use a 2.5 pound to gentle push it back in so the belt would lock. I didn't mind this but after today, the lever completely broke off randomly... it wasn't even completely lock on to my waist yet. I had this since Nov 14th I believe and it lasted for about 3 months.... I am so speechless. I will be calling bodyBuilding tomorrow for a refund. I should of done a lot more research before hinting my gf that I wanted this belt.
I have had this belt for 8 months and use it twice a week. Today during a 425 lb dead lift the belt prongs on the lever broke off. After inspecting it and seeing the actual metal it is made of (looks like very cheap cast metal) I will not be calling shiek to replace it...I will be buying a new pronged (traditional, non lever) belt, probably from bestbelts.net unless someone can point me to another really good belt for powerlifting.
Just an awesome lifting belt with good support. Real heavy duty.
Just like the few people before me said, the metal lever for the belt broke. Mine broke just the other night, I noticed that the pin was not fully through and i'm sure that's why mine broke when I tried pulling the lever. Overall a really great belt, I had it for about 7-8 months before it happened and hit many pr's. I am willing to buy another one even after this happened.
Before I even got to use it at the gym. The belt as I was adjusting it too fit me the metal or think it metal broke. The clap part of the belt ... But Bodybuilding were a great help on the phone they told me what I have to do. Email a pre paid postal stamp told me just to send it back & they will send me a new one free of shipping & handling . They even let me change the belt
bought this for the first time, use it for almost a week and the lever broke off, call for a replacement and reciee it. afer that the pin started to fall of from the lever. not sure what's going on.
Most supportive belt I've ever used. Feel like an animal when you're locked in. With four different size options I have room to grow without having the fear of having to buy a new belt. And with this belt, I have no excuse to not get bigger and lift heavy *** weight. Oh ya, the American flag stitched above the logo is the best touch any product can have. America
This belt is awesome. I was skeptical when I bought it, but it is absolutely worth it. I like that the adjusting notches are pretty close, so it makes the belt fit that much better, and the stitched american flag on the back is awesome. This belt can be adjusted to squeeze the hell out of me and it's crazy how well it supports my back. The reason it got 9/10 and not 10/10 is because it sort of pinches and bruises the upper part of my hip when I squat, but it gets better as you break it in.
Best belt I have ever used, you feel a lot more compact and not to mention stronger!
Cant complain one of the best belts out there
