Product Overview

Tired of a boring breakfast?
Wishing you could start your day with more protein?
We’ve fixed all of your breakfast troubles
three select protein 4 oats lined up together
20 grams of protein

Protein when mixed with ½ c oats

Protein4Oats is the perfect solution to a high protein breakfast. Oatmeal already makes for a great way to start your day. It’s a quick, cheap, and nutritious whole grain.

The downside?

Oatmeal is low in protein, and boring on taste! Until now...

You can go to the grocery store and pick up flavored oatmeal, but turn over the label and you will find it loaded with sugar, and still low in protein!

Nutrition facts for protein 4 oats
Protein4Oats is as easy as 1, 2, 3:
  1. Make your oatmeal however you like it. Old fashioned, steel cut, overnight, it’s up to you!
  2. Add in your favorite Protein4Oats flavor after your oatmeal is cooked
  3. Stir and enjoy!

What makes Protein4Oats different than adding regular protein to oatmeal?

Regular protein is formulated and flavored to be drank as a protein shake. Protein4Oats has been specially formulated and flavored for oatmeal. It will blow away any regular protein in your oatmeal on both taste and texture.

Select Protein is renowned for being an incredible tasting protein powder as a shake, in recipes, and is commonly added to oatmeal. However we believed we could make a dedicated oatmeal flavoring system that could blow it away. We agreed that unless we could make a flavor that is miles better than anything else we wouldn't even release this product. We can say with confidence that nothing comes close to Protein4Oats in oatmeal.

My favourite PEScience product, I haven't eaten plain oatmeal or oatmeal mixed with protein powder since buying this product, and I've repurchased multiple times. The price is a little high for the amount of servings but it's well worth it in my opinion. It mixes well with different kinds of oatmeal, it says not to use with quick oats but I do anyways and it's still great. The Maple Brown Sugar is my favourite flavour as both elements come through in the product and it stays consistent throughout. Apple Cinnamon isn't bad either, I just don't like the intense and artificial apple cinnamon smell that comes when you open the bag; the smell is intense but the flavour in the oatmeal is subtle so I still enjoy it. I definitely recommend it for an addition of subtle sweetness or full flavour to your morning oatmeal.

I bought the Apple Cinnamon awhile back to add more flavor to my oatmeal. This product did not disappoint. I personally felt that 1/4C was WAY more than necessary to 1/2C oats. I currently only use a tablespoon to a 1/2C of oats. This is fine with me as it helps the product last longer. Even with only a fourth of the recommended serving it was still very delicious. I bought this product because I wanted something healthy to mix in with my oatmeal and they achieved that.

Product is everything it claims to be. A protein powder that mixes perfectly in oatmeal. Tastes identical to those Quaker instant oat packets, the Apple Cinnamon is delicious and very natural tasting, no artificial taste about it. It mixes flawlessly and works well for other things besides oats like pancakes and waffle mixes too. Perfect for people who enjoy baking with protein or people that don't necessarily like the sweeter dessert-like options of other powders. Nice job PES!

I recently got a bag of the new PEScience - Select Protein 4 Oats. The most appealing flavor to me was the Maple Brown Sugar so that's the flavor I got. I'm not new to adding protein powder to my oats and it's usually a hit or miss trying different powders and flavors to find what works best so I was interested to see how Protein 4 Oats stacks up. I open the bag and get an awesome strong sweet maple smell hoping the flavor comes through close to as much as the smell. I already have my 1/2 cup of oats made at this point and I add the 1/4 cup of Protein 4 Oats. Whenever I mix protein powder into my oats it always thickens it a bit so I usually have some hot water in a kettle ready to go and pour a little into my oats as I mix in the powder to keep the consistency to my preference. The powder mixed in quick and effortlessly to the consistency I like. I love anything maple flavor and this didn't disappoint. The maple flavor was really great and sweetened/flavored the oats nicely. The amount of flavor was just about perfect in the 1/2 cup of oats, I'd say it's similar to those flavored Quaker oats but better. The profile of Select Protein 4 Oats is also good being similar to their Select Protein with a little less protein. Very nice new product by PEScience, if you like proats and maple flavored products you need to try this.

I tried this a couple different ways. The first way I tried: 1) cooked 1 serving of oats in the microwave, then mixed in 1 serving protein4oats, which needed a really good mixing to actually mix in and dissolve. I ended up adding more water, which ultimately made it pretty runny, more like a soup. But the taste was there! 2) cooked oatmeal the same and added the same amount of protein4oats, but I instead added less water and put it in the fridge overnight. This was the better way to do it. It solidified much more and the texture was way better. It tastes similar to the Quaker instant oats, although this is less sweet (but like 11g less sugar than those), and the cinnamon flavor is stronger too. Still very delicious though. I like cold oatmeal more anyways!

I received a 12 serving pouch of the Apple Cinnamon to try out and this was basically designed to mix with hot cooked oats. I have tried to mix regular protein powder into oats while cooking or even after it's cooked and it never mixes well. I am always left with protein clumps or a very gritty texture mixed with the oats cause the protein doesn't mix well with the cooked oats. Protein 4 Oats was designed so that all those issues with regular protein won't occur and it definitely mixed up very well into the oats with no clumping or grit. The aplle cinnamon flavor really hits you as soon as you open the pouch and it smells amazingly good and after trying this in hot oats, overnight cold proats, and in baked recipes the flavor comes out best in the cooked oats and baked recipes and I was not a fan of the taste it had in overnight cold proats. The initial flavor of the cold proats was good but then you get a bitter taste which I was not a fan of and it kind of reminded me of the bitter after taste I get from Select Snicker Doodle which is good but also has a overly sweet bitter after taste. The price for the 12 serving pouch comes out to about $1.00 a serving which is a tad high so I'd like to see this for either under $10 or more servings for the regular price tag. If you like to consume hot oatmeal and apple cinnamon is something you like which I personally love this combo of flavors, and you've had bad success at mixing regular protein with cooked oats then I'd say give it a try. If you can get it on a promo sale then that would be even better and it does come in 2 other flavors just in case apple and cinnamon isn't your thing. I do hope PES will maybe introduce this flavor in their Select line of protein but hopefully the bitter after taste when consumed cold will be worked out.Flavor wise this gets a 9/10 when consumed cooked and 7/10 when consumed in cold proats.
