I've been using MuscleTech's Platinum 100% Hydrolyzed Collagen for a few weeks now to help with my shoulder and wrist discomfort. In 1 Scoop (11g) you get multiple sources of collagen peptides from Hydrolyzed bovine collagen peptides and FORTIGEL Bioactive Collagen Peptides. The profile has 40 calories and 10g of protein per scoop. I haven't used a collagen product before and the theory behind it being it helps to keep your joints lubricated and supple to reduce activity related pain. There seems to be the research behind it as well as a clinical trial that showed results. I take 1-2 scoops a day and mix it into my protein powder usually before or after training. The powder is very fine and has no smell at all. It mixes very easily better then a protein powder. If you were to mix it into just water it foams up quite a bit but when you mix it into another liquid like a protein shake there is no foaming at all. It is also tasteless when I mix it into my protein shake and can't tell it's in there. If I didn't notice an improvement after using the collagen I would say so but I have noticed a big improvement lately. The pain in both my shoulder and wrist as well as the mobility is greatly improved. It seems to be getting better the longer I'm using the collagen. I also haven't been using any other new products lately so I would assume the collagen has really been working for me. I recommend this product if you're experiencing joint discomfort while training because it really seemed to work for me. After I finish my tub if my joint discomfort increases again I will be buying another tub.

I used this product for a month daily, and the collagen did what it's supposed to do and completely alleviated my wrist pain I get while lifting heavy. It mixes easily into a protein shake or smoothie and is entirely flavorless. At $32 for 62 servings it is economical and something you would want to use on occasion I would think, like if you were on a heavy lifting month or something of that nature. The best part is that it contains no fillers, artificial sweeteners, colors, or anything that is unwanted. Highly recommend this product for anyone who has joint pain.

I have used this product for about 3 weeks now and have to say I do notice a difference. I was having pain on the inner knee when squatting and some discomfort in my elbow where my tricep was re-attached. Both are gone after about 2 weeks on this collagen. It mixes easily with anything you like and is completely tasteless.

Great product. It mixes very easily with just a spoon and has no taste. Super easy to mix into shakes or other drinks without altering the flavor much. I wouldn't drink it alone since it has a somewhat unpleasant smell with just water so I'd reccomend adding it to your shake for a little more protein. Haven't noticed a huge difference in terms of joint health since I haven't been taking it consistently but I'm sure I'll see a difference soon

Solid 9 because nothing is perfect. But loved how it mixed easily into milk and didn't really seem to effect the taste at all. It also helps to mix it into smoothies and recipies like pancakes, mug cakes, oatmeal, etc. After a week of working out, joints felt smoother!

I'm currently on my second container of the MT HC. As of the middle of last month (October 2018) I've stepped back my gym trips in favor of more running and cardio. With the upcoming North Dakota winters the bitter cold and 4am runs are where I feel the after-effects the most. The hydrolyzed collagen is leaving me feeling very confident that I'm going to crush my winter workouts. And, recently, having moved to a new residence, just as I did last time I did the whole thing solo - 3 days - aches and pains the next day were drastically less, and I'm 40, so that was an instance "recommended".

Before i used this product i had a really sore elbow from hitting it on a metal bar. After 2 weeks taking collagen and mixing it with Muscletech protein it didnt bother me much. It mixes easily and has no taste it.

Great product, it mixed well into everything i used (oatmeal, protein shakes). Helped with joint soreness and also helps to hit protein intake goals. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried a collagen supplement.

I have golfers elbow from an old lifting injury but this product really helps! I no longer use my splint and my joints feel great!

First time ever trying a collagen supplement, seems pretty good, it's protein. For me, it doesn't mix too well with juice and stuff. It's takes several minutes to get it to mix. Once it does you can barely notice you put it in. Would recommend.

I got interested in collagen after reading about it in Lyle McDonald's literature. Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body. It is the major component of connective tissues that make up several body parts, including tendons, ligaments, skin and muscles. Collagen has many important functions, including providing your skin with structure and strengthening your bones. I used it as a good old fashioned protein supplement postworkout, and it helped me gain lean mass over the 30 days I was using it during. Many lifters just use whey protein postworkout, but cycling in collagen has been shown to help with muscle building as part of a lifting diet. It's certainly better than sources of carbohydrate or fat in that respect, and I like to keep my protein sources eclectic. I recommend supplementing this with fish oil for omega 3/6 balancing in tandem with a regular lifting regimen. It's affordable stuff and I like having something other than whey or casein protein in my supplement arsenal. At this price, I'd definitely recommend any serious lifter give it a try at least once.

Great product, I’m a police officer and was in a bad accident while chasing a suspect. Long story short I got tboned @93mph drive side door. Anyways broke a **** load of bone and joints have been bothering ever since. Great product help with my joints and took the stiffness away along with the pain. Made it easier to workout in the gym and out running. Great product and will help with joint pain
