Product Overview

Kaged Muscle BCAA 2:1:1

FERMACEUTICAL™ GRADE

L–Citrulline is an amino acid that has been found to play an important role in nitric oxide (NO) metabolism and regulation. L-Citrulline is converted to L-Arginine in the body, leading to increases in both L-Arginine and nitric oxide. Increased production of nitric oxide promotes vascular dilation, which helps support normal oxygen and blood circulation throughout the body.

Pharmacokinetic Advantages

The pharmacokinetic advantage of L-Citrulline is that it is not subject to any elimination by the liver prior to entering the bloodstream. Conversely, L-Arginine is subject to extensive elimination by the gut wall and liver. (26)

The majority of L-Citrulline is converted to L-Arginine in the kidney. (3)

Once in circulation, L-Arginine is readily converted into L-Citrulline and nitric oxide, which in turn serves as an L-Arginine precursor (see figure below). (10)

conversion from
arg (L-arginine) to cit

absorption of l-arginine and l-citrulline

Inside intestinal tract

Consumed in the urea cycle and in biosynthesis of other substances in liver

Metabolized in intestinal tract cells and converted to CIT

Reaches kidney through liver, biosynthesis of ARG in Kidney (75%)

ARG supplied to the whole body

*CIT ingestion enables effective supply of ARG to the whole body

roles of cit in the body

  • Influences on blood vessels: Actions via NO production, vasodilation, blood flow acceleration*
  • Ammonia detoxification: Action as a component of the L-ornithine cycle*
  • Antioxidant effect: An active oxygen radical scavenger (potent quencher of hydroxyl radical)*

* Citrulline Malate is mixed 1:1 (Malic Acid + L-Citrulline. basically, THE L-Citrulline is cut in half!

** Most brands use Citrulline Malate 1:1 ratio due to cost (cheap) – 50% less per kg than pure L-Citrulline.

benefits of kaged muscle l-citrulline

  • fermentation derived vs synthetic*
  • gras approved
  • only citrulline actually manufactured in the usa

Stupid retarded pumps!!!! I would fast pace it to work because I'd be a little behind time and my hammies, calves and glutes would be pumped up as if I just got some *** shots from Dr. Miami. But in the gym, WHAT THE FUCC'. Everything is pumped up like ****, if I feel like this on Citrulline then what does Tren feel like?? And the unflavored taste has a numbing like taste, hard to describe but you don't notice if you add to a shake or something. Lastly, I gave it an 8 because I quickly got accustomed to it no matter how much I took. So you should " Cycle " Off sometimes.

Well I was attracted to Kaged Citrulline as it seems all based on natural ingredients, and had great reviews as a vasodilator and pump for pre-workout. I've started with the recommended dose (2g) just once a day and it certainly pumped by biceps and pecs during and after the workout and even lasted for many hours subsequently. Although for a few days I got something of an uneasy stomach, now that seems to have gone so may have been a bug rather than the citrulline but apparently it can give some people some mild stomach issues. I can't see any other reviewers having side effects. It doesn't keep you awake at night but usual precautions I would suggest would be not to consume any coffee on the day you take it as there's enough natural caffeine in it anyway. You get up to 100 servings in total if you stick to recommended dose. I've also read some research on citrulline as a nitric oxide product and there don't seem to be any negative health outcomes so long as you use it sensibly. The unflavoured one I'm using is okay but not a great taste of course - but guess its best not to have all the sweetener stuff in the flavoured ones. Just get on and down it in your protein drink! Update: I have now taken the 2g twice a day with an awesome pump each time and no stomach complaints. Rock on!
