After workouts, a fast-digesting (high-glycemic) carb is one of the most critical nutrients to ingest. Fast carbs are necessary to replenish the muscle glycogen that you burned during the workout as quickly as possible.

  • Research confirms that working out for as little as 30 minutes can deplete muscle glycogen levels by more than 40%. Intense workouts lasting 60-90 minutes would deplete muscle  glycogen levels considerably more.
  • When carbs are consumed immediately postworkout, a supercompensation of muscle  glycogen stores is possible. In fact, delaying carb consumption by just 2 hours has been shown to reduce the rate of glycogen replenishment by 50%.

I use this instead of gummy bears because gummy bears in a house full of boys wouldn’t last. The product is great has a jolly rancher type taste so it helps with a sweet tooth.

Mix the Post Matrix with the Post Carb and your set all you need is the Pro. The Watermelon is my favorite flavor I've tried most of the others but I always come back to the Watermelon.

Only post workout i use, but is it me, or does anyone else's taste extremely bitter? It's never been an issue before, but when they did the revamp of their product line, the new one kind of burns my throat.

incredible!! at 5'8" 295 lbs. at a 13%bf (off season), i need what i can to maintain and continue to make gains. unlike many i take JYM Post work daily even on off training days (usually at the end of a long day. no B.S. from the moment i started using JYM Post i noticed a big difference, especially in my strength and muscle fullness. i have used other crab powders and with the exception of one, this is great stuff at a VERY affordable price. my recommendation is try it. you should see and fill gains relatively quickly (everyone is different). you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying it!

This is a well priced, good tasting carbohydrate, works ok for fueling the workout and getting creatine into the muscles quickly. I have actually had better performance from Gatorade powder (which also uses dextrose, the main ingredient here), for half the price. And NOW makes regular unflavored dextrose for even half the price of Gatorade powder, which also gives better results. Besides making my preworkout a little sweeter, I just didn't feel the drive I got with those products with this JYM product. Make try again in the future, or might just stick with Gatorade powder.

At first was hesitant to use dextrose for post workout, however once I put it into my arsenal recovery and performance has improved with no weight gain. But causing the insulin response and helping push the post workout nutrients into my blood stream both lean mass and strength have had improvement

If you're looking at this we can assume you buy into post-workout carbs to replace muscle glycogen. In that case, this tastes fine, blends super easy. It is pure sugar so I use a lot of water. Especially if mixing with the JYM recovery (makes me itch if it's too concentrated).

Not only is it a great supplement it taste really good. Only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because it does have more sugar then I'd like; hence the good taste. Overall great product though.

This is really just sugar. Nothing special about it. I will say though that adding it to my post workout seemed to eliminate the afternoon "coma" feeling that I normally get since I workout at lunchtime.
