Good taste and mix well with a fruit and other. Good product!

I have primarily used Vegan/Plant based protien for a couple of years and have tried quite a few. I did Whey protein for a while but decided to go back to plant based pretty quickly. I see in a lot of reviews people talking about the texture/grit and earthy taste, that’s going to occur with pretty much every plant based vegan protein on the market. You get used to it. Out of all the vanilla flavored vegan proteins I’ve ever tried, this is hands down one of the best. It is not an over powering vanilla, which is to be expected because most vegan proteins keep their sweetners low, but I’m sure if you added a touch of stevia it would bring the vanilla out. I mixed this with silk protein nut milk (the 2g of sugar version) in a blender bottle, it blended well and was a pretty smooth drink, no clumps, but yes, texture, oh the horror lol. I like the texture because it makes my shake seem a little more substantial. I really didn’t notice the earthy taste, I’ve tasted WAY more dirt like vegan proteins in the past. It was nice that this blended well with just the bottle blender, most plant based shakes you have to actually blend in a ninja or something or you will get those god awful clumps. I like that I can get 20g of protein per scoop, when I mix this with the protein nut milk that gives me 30g of protein, thats a win! and I love the diverse protein source complex that GAT is using, when it comes to plant based, that’s what really makes a difference, the more diverse the sources the better. I will definetly be repurchasing this and trying out the chocolate peanut butter as well. Hope this review was helpful.

For someone who has only ever had whey protein, I have to say I was surprised by this product. I assumed I wouldn't like it, but the chocolate peanut butter was very good. Great flavor but did have bit of an earthy taste.

I was surprised about with this product. I've never had a plant protein based shake before. I wouldn't recommend it with water though the texture was very rough. I have heard mixed views on the vanilla flavor whereas I tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter and found it pretty tasty for the variety of plant proteins. Overall I would recommend it as a protein supplement but possibly not for everyone especially for people who are particular to texture!

Mixed the Chocolate PB flavor into a smoothie and it tasted great with the banana, peanut butter, and almond milk. Mixing with other things masks the more earthy taste that comes from plant products when you're used to whey protein blends. I am not vegan, but in comparison to what I've heard regarding the taste of other vegan proteins, this seems to be better.

I didn't really taste the vanilla by itself, but when paired with fruit it was a good base. Plant protein has a different texture than whey so be prepared it doesn't mix the same way! I put it in my oatmeal and it dried it out more than I was expecting but nothing a little more water couldn't fix.

My rating is primarily based on my comparisons against other plant based protein powders. Off the bat, the fact that this supplement contains no soy is a huge plus to me & the variety of protein sources that are used is pretty interesting. Many might not like the flavor or texture but after experience with many vegan shakes, this one stands above most of the competition. I had Chocolate peanut butter and it was pretty good. Would mix this with a thicker Almond milk rather than water and make sure you shake well to avoid the chalky texture!

This was my first time trying a plant only based protein powder so bear with me. I was not expecting the extreme earthy taste of this protein and was taken aback of how different it was compared to what I normally take. IMO I wouldn't try this flavor if you are expecting anything sweet tasting. I've heard a handful of in person reviews of the chocolate peanut butter flavor, so if that's your thing go ahead! Overall it wasn't horrible, but I don't think it's for everyone.

I just tried the Vanilla Plant Protein Powder. I tend to like to cook with my protein powders rather than having a protein shake. I tried to make protein pancakes with this. It's different cooking with different types of protein. This plant protein made my pancakes very fluffy. It was pretty good. I enjoyed the flavor but I have yet to master the perfect plant protein powder recipe!

My opinion may be fairly biased because I have never tried a vegan protein before. I did not like the taste because it tasted very earthy. The "vanilla" flavoring did very little to mask the taste of dirt. This protein may be more useable if it is added into a recipe or mixed with another more tasty protein.

For me this is a wonderful vegan protein powder. I find it works really well with baking and I like to mix it with a tiny bit of water and make it more of a dessert than a shake. Will be buying again and again!

This is the first plant based protein that I have tried, so I only have whey to compare it to. There is a chalky texture to it. This wasn't my favorite, but I've heard that plant based proteins can be hard to get a good flavor with, so I would say it's not a bad buy.

Aug 21, 2017

As far as plant based proteins go, this one has a pretty decent texture, however there is still a chalky consistency afterward. The chocolate peanut butter flavor was good and had less of the chalky aftertaste than the vanilla, which was pretty mildly flavored in my opinion.

Aug 19, 2017

This is the first plant protein I've ever tried, so I'm really only able to compare it to whey. I know for a fact that it's difficult to achieve a good flavor and consistency with plant proteins, and I would say they did a pretty good job with the chocolate peanut butter in both of those areas. I thought the vanilla flavor was pretty mild, but I'm not a huge fan of vanilla to begin with. I also felt it has more chalky of a consistency compared with the chocolate peanut butter.

Really like this protein! I've been trying to find a good plant-based protein to reduce my animal product consumption and I'm impressed with this one! The vanilla flavor could be a little bit stronger, but it's really really good in a smoothie blended with frozen blueberries, spinach, and cashew milk.
