THE BEEF STANDARD IS WHAT ITS NAME IMPLIES

It is the new standard in Beef Protein supplementation. In a market where claims for beef protein products will be similar, the question will be: what is the difference in quality between one beef protein vs the next?

WHERE DOES YOUR BEEF PROTEIN COME FROM?

Betancourt Nutrition manufacture’s its products in NSF certified cGMP facilities and sources its hydrolyzed beef protein isolate from fresh beef raw material in a USDA inspected facility. Betancourt Nutrition uses trademarked BeefISO™ to ensure the quality and accountability of its protein source.*

BEWARE THE GELATIN

Gelatin protein is notorious for being a protein source that is low in bioavailability and non-ideal for promoting growth. If you see gelatin anywhere on the label of a beef protein steer clear, gelatin from a bovine source can help support claims of beef protein content but it is a poor source of protein to support muscle recovery and performance.*

DOES YOUR BEEF PROTEIN HAVE SUPERSERUM™

Super Serum™ is a Bovine Serum Albumin Concentrate protein rich in peptides & growth factors. It is a fast absorbing agglomerated protein with a minimum of 10% IgG (immunoglobulin- a protein used by the immune system), 60% Albumin and 5% Transferrin.

Might be good ingredience, but the taste us so god awful I couldn't get one drink down. Mixed terribly too, but I could get past that. The rancid flavor is appalling and I will be throwing the rest out.

Probably the worse mixing of any protein in the last 10 maybe 15 years. It reminded me of the 1990's protein were you chew it. I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to save someone $30, I mean I shook this thing for 5 minutes and still clumps all over the bottom of shaker.

Good quality ingredients, no collagen protein, so no foamy action going on when u shake it up. If you can't digest whey this is the protein to use. Tastes pretty bad though. Smells a lot like a cardboard box. But a chocolate cardboard box. Still drinkable though.

I drink a double serving post workout and it's definitely working. Strength gains and recovery are awesome.

I like the fact it doesn't foam when shaken like other Beef proteins, but the taste is not good. As long as you put fruit and other fillesr in with it, you can choak it down.

the taste score says it all. I really hope this is not representative of most beef proteins because I really wanted to try a lean protein builder. Tastes abso-fuking-lutely horrendous! Gains were going down despite the creatine content. I would say stick to whey blends as much as you can. If not try pea or egg proteins. Also whats with those chunks at the end!!?? What is that stuff? REtch

I like this protein beef isolate's very manageable low calories and as a carb free source, making it great for anyone in a strict cut. As others noted it does indeed have a cardboard aroma when you open it, does not resemble anything edible but once a drop of water or almond milk, what have you it emits a flan dessert type aroma that is really bold. Does have a flavor mixture of salty caramel. As you can see in my full review the pictures, it does not mix very well but its not a huge con-more than anything probably due to the creatine in part and very runny which is typical of isolate blends. I wouldnt bake with it but not a bad pre to have, flavor takes some taking used to though. Shout out and big thanks to tatteredsaint for letting me try it. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=166416251

This was the first time I have used Betancourt's Beef Protein. I gave it a shot even though reviews said otherwise. I can usually hack any kind of flavor profile or texture...but this stuff was different. Upon opening it smelled like chalk. Mixture wasn't bad I'd say a 6/10 but it did seem to separate in Milk worse than water. You get used to the fake chocolate taste after a while. It definitely needs improvement. If you're looking for a great beef protein go with Carnivore Mass. I'm glad I tried this stuff but it'll be my last tub. As for results. I didn't seem to notice any bloating but it was hard to tell only after a 2 pound 28 serving tub.

I had won a tub for free in the forum section. Mixibility: 9 This one mixed in pretty well but did take a bit more effort to mix in compared to whey protein Taste: 8 It did taste like chocolate but it had a chalky taste to it. Not the best tasting powder in the world but like a bodybuilder told me when i first start training "I dont take supplements for taste, I take them for results" Overall: I must say that taking it the past few weeks post workout while on prep it has certainly has held its own. I take it after doing high volume workouts as well as HIIT cardio on the stair climber for 25 mins (1m walk, 30s jog, 1 m sprint 10 times). 3 times a week ill do a core workout after the weights and cardio. While takin The Beef Standard, ive notice my body leaning down and muscles are recovering better. Also I usually wait a couple hours before i eat a solid meal and Ive not been hungry like i would normally be after taking a normal shake. I definitely would recommend to a friend and will definitely purchase again and see how effective it can be while in an offseason program. 9/10

many thanks to Prime and tatteredsaint for giving me the opportunity to review their new chocolate flavored Beef Standard Protein...much appreciated. the macros of Beef Standard are nothing short of outstanding. only 110 calories and 24 big grams of protein per serving...its also low fat and carbs. sweeet! ive tried a couple other beef proteins in the past and consistent drawbacks have always been the aroma and taste. while Beef Standard cant compare to whey in flavor, in my opinion, its the best tasting beef protein ive tried. this is just the nature of the beast...or should i say beef. overall, i liked Beef Standard and think the great macros more than make up for any flavor deficiencies. if you want to try a beef protein, Beef Standard is the one to get!

I'm going to be perfectly honest, hopefully without utilizing creative expletives. I purchased this product because I wanted to try some beef protein. After some research, I settled on this brand because I liked the ingredients. While I am certain it definitely follows through with its intended affect, it is not, in any way, pleasant. This is definitely not a delicious protein powder. I've had bad tasting protein before, and this stuff is, without a doubt, the worst. Will I finish the tub? Yes, but it's going to take me a while. I literally have to force it into my throat, and at the end, the chunks nearly make me vomit. Again, I'm sure it's one of the best beef proteins, but it's not an enjoyable experience overall.

Very good profile, and ingredients, but the smell is pretty strange, and the mixibility and taste are just awful. I havn't tried the chocolate yet, but I can tell you that the vanilla is pretty rancid. Once it's down it's down though, no stomach problems or whatever.

Just purchased beef standard today 4/15/15 so far my review is just on taste which I tried majority of all protein on the market. I seen some reviews people say the taste is horrible I purchased prime chocolate and the taste is actually good. there are some bad tasting proteins out on the market but this is one of the top in my opinion. it tastes to me like a double chocolate chip cookie. I will continue to use for the next few weeks or month to see how it works with my workout
