MUSCLE SIZE*, STRENGTH*, AND POWER*
Is a second-generation arachidonic acid (ARA) supplement. An Omega-6 fatty acid, ARA supports gains in muscle size, strength, and power, as well as muscle preservation during fat loss.* Studies suggest this fatty acid is essential for muscle protein synthesis following exercise.* Furthermore, regular exercise may lower ARA levels in the muscles. This makes ARA one of the most important supplements for bodybuilders and athletes. X-FACTOR ADVANCED takes ARA to the next level, with a formula designed to support the overall effect of this anabolic fatty acid.*
ARA PUT TO THE TEST
The effectiveness of X-FACTOR™ has been demonstrated in placebo-controlled trials at the University of Tampa. Thirty weight-training male subjects (age 20.4 ± 2.1 years) with a minimum of 1 year of resistance training experience were given six capsules of X-Factor per day (1,500mg ARA) or placebo for eight weeks. Subjects taking X-Factor noticed significantly greater improvements on all muscle size and performance variables tested, including an 88% greater increase in muscle size (thickness) measures. They also added an average of 21 lbs. to their bench press, 89 lbs. on leg press, gained about 4 lbs. of lean body mass (LBM), and noticed a 5.5 times greater increase in muscle power compared to placebo!*
XFA — Increased Potency
X-Factor™ Advanced is designed to further support the anabolic effects of arachidonic acid. The first objective was to increase the cellular uptake and membrane stability of this fatty acid, so more is available for post-training anabolism. Second, ARA must be metabolized to active bio-chemicals before it can trigger growth. Reducing its metabolism by other enzymes allows more ARA to be utilized by the primary anabolic pathway.* By focusing on both methods of ARA intensification, X-Factor Advanced represents the very pinnacle of ARA supplementation!
X-Factor™ or X-Factor™ Advanced?
X-Factor™ Advanced is generally recommended as the more effective and versatile ARA supplement. However, if you have a history of taking daily fish oil supplements in moderate to high doses, you may want to try original X-Factor first. Evidence suggests that at low levels, fish oil can potentiate the effects of ARA; at high levels it may reduce its effect. Omega-3’s have been added to XFA to increase ARA potency, but might be unnecessary if your tissue levels are already high.*
