Matthew Kadey is a registered dietitian based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He works full time as a freelance nutrition writer and recipe developer, and is the author of three cookbooks: "Rocket Fuel: Power-Packed Food for Sports + Adventure" (VeloPress 2016), "The Muffin Tin Chef" (Ulysses, 2013) and "The No-Cook, No-Bake Cookbook" (Ulysses, 2014).

He received a master's degree in sports nutrition from Florida State University and won a James Beard Award for food journalism in 2013.
