Great for building the triceps no matter amount of reps, or weight put on. They Key to this exercise is to place hands shoulder length apart, and DO NOT HAVE ELBOWS OUT. Big no no. Instead tuck elbows in, so as when your in the negative your elbow brush your sides when going down, then push up focusing just the triceps, it isolates the top head and side part of the tricep. Suggest doing tri's on shoulder days, they work the front head(anterior delt) of the shoulder. Great combo, shoulders, chest, and triceps in one session. Never do triceps and bi's same day. Wont make any gains when you do shoulder/chest days. Defeats the purpose. Incorporate this as a must into your triceps routine.
Note- Also do these on decline, and incline.
Also: If you go heavy, Beware of the wrist factor. Buy wrist wraps, AND have a reliable spotter. If you have pitcher's elbow, then do them occasionally. -See Less
