The Claim:

The Perfect Ratio Of Amino Acids, Carbohydrates And Protein!

Higher Power Ultimate Mass contains a substantial amount of protein. However, unlike many other weight gainers and protein containing supplements, it fails to outline the specific amount of each amino acid. In other words, it fails to outline the "typical amino acid profile per serving" that many supplements show.

Although this isn't a huge detail, it robs the consumer of several minor details. Although minor, these details are very important to many consumers. Without the typical amino acid profile, I'm unable to see the amount of glutamine, glutamic acid, arginine, leucine, isoleucine, valine, etc.

As stated above, this mass gainer contains a similar proportion of protein in comparison to the top weight gainers on Bodybuilding.com. Most of the preferred protein powders contain a blend of proteins, with whey protein concentrate as the basis of the blend.

However, unlike the top protein powders, this protein blend consists only of whey protein concentrate. This factor limits the effectiveness of the weight gainer. Keeping the price of Ultimate Mass in mind, it should be expected that it won't match the more expensive products of the weight gainer market.

As we discussed above, there is no "typical amino acid profile per serving" to illustrate the amount of amino acids that this mass gainer contains.

In regards to the claim, I felt this mass gainer was fairly misleading. Therefore, in regards to the claim, I award Higher Power Ultimate Mass a 6/10.

Taste:

The chocolate flavor has a lighter mocha chocolate taste. Also, it lacked the intense burning sensation that is associated with a number of the high-sugar (simple sugar) weight gainers. For me, this is a good thing. Therefore, in regards to taste, I award Higher Power Ultimate Mass Chocolate flavor a 7/10.

Solubility/Texture:

The chocolate flavor is similar to most other weight gainers when it comes to mixability. However, it's not exactly the same. The chocolate flavor mixes somewhat easier than other weight gainers that I've used. However, it also contains less calories than other weight gainers I've used and this is most likely why it mixes easier.

The chocolate flavor has a texture that isn't quite as thick as other weight gainers. However, this too is probably due to the lower calorie content. Therefore, in regards to mixability/texture, I award Higher Power Ultimate Mass Chocolate flavor an 8/10.

Mixability - 7/10 It mixes pretty well but has a rough gritty taste like the protein doesnt all quite dissolve or maybe the sugar doesnt quite dissolve. Its pretty gritty but NO clumping. Overall Review:

As I previously stated, the chocolate flavor had a claim that was fairly misleading. I found the taste of the chocolate flavor to be a light mocha chocolate taste was somewhat pleasing to drink.

The chocolate flavor mixed easier than other weight gainers that I've previously used. Also, the chocolate flavor had a lighter texture and this too is most likely due to the lower calorie content.
