I had a great chest day today and feeling good about 2014. My goal is to add more inches to my chest. I will not stop until I get my 52 inch chest!

Quick question. I started lifting heavier weights with fewer reps to build up strength. I have made some gains in size but I don't want only sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. I also want some density and strength.
Since I started lifting heavy with fewer reps I am not really feeling sore as much or sometimes not at all. I noticed the other day I had some small bruises on my back after chest work out. Probably from burst blood vessels.
Am I supposed to be sore all the time? Am I lifting heavy enough or should it be heavier to feel soreness?
