Matt Weik

Background

Matt Weik graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Business back in 2005 but has been on a mission to make America healthy way before that.

Matt has been active in the fitness industry and changing lives since 2002. He was a strength and conditioning coach for a high school as well as a personal trainer and service director for a chain of 3 gyms. Matt was also a DJ working for a well-known radio station associated with CBS.

It wasn't until 2007 that he decided to leave working at the gyms and get into the supplement industry. He is currently the Manager of the MET-Rx Team Sports division. He manages the entire US in which he works with Jr High Schools, High Schools, Colleges, and Professional Sports Teams. He works with them on their sports nutrition products for their athletes. The products offered are nutritional shakes as well as bars (MET-Rx/Balance Bar). Prior to this position Matt was the Regional Manager for MET-Rx/Pure Protein where he oversaw sales in PA/NJ/DE/MD/VA/WV/NC/SC.

Even though he left the personal training industry, Weik has never lost his passion for fitness. He continues to work with people over the internet to help them achieve their health and fitness goals as well as goals in life. When he finds spare time in his busy schedule, Weik writes articles and conducts interviews for many well-known internet sites and fitness magazines. He is also an author and researcher with his own fitness book and published research on exercise dependence.
