This vital team builds and supports every aspect of our site and supports our internal systems. They are organized into four major groups:

Community: Responsible for BodySpace, the largest fitness social network. Supports communal features, such as workout tracking tools and FitBoard image sharing.

Commerce: Builds and supports store portion of our site, the #1 online sports nutrition retailer in the world.

Site Operations: Creates the systems, servers, and networks that allow the web applications to be developed.

Corporate Systems: Helpdesk and application support teams ensure the systems we use as a company are functioning at their best.

Operations and Distribution

Distribution operates our four domestic fulfillment centers (FCs) and one in the UK. Product is stored in the FCs and shipped directly to our customers. The supply chain team makes sure we have the right amount of product at the right time, analyzing, forecasting, and purchasing product for the FCs. The logistics team’s role is to maximize relationships with parcel carriers like UPS and FedEx. They wow our customers by getting the goods on their doorsteps faster than they can say, “peanut butter protein shake.”

Customer Service

This is no ordinary customer service department. Our highly trained team can tell you anything from your optimal protein intake to which creatine will support your fitness goals to what the heck hypertrophy means. It’s no wonder they’ve won numerous awards. This busy team takes all inbound calls, emails, and live chats from customers around the world, 24/7.

HR, Legal and Finance

Human resources is responsible for attracting and retaining top talent. They also administer our stellar benefits and employee rewards programs.

Or legal team fulfills corporate responsibilities like employee contracts or litigation. They also make sure we’re in compliance with FDA standards and other regulatory statutes.

Finance pays our vendors and employees, controls the budget, and publishes our financials.

From emails and social media to SEO and SEM to events and sponsorships, marketing’s focus is to grow awareness of our brand. Online and offline teams collaborate on cohesive, multi-channel campaigns.

The merchandising team manages our massive catalog of products and coordinates about 600 promotions a month! They track the performance and fine tune to give customers exactly what they want at a price they’ll love.

Digital Publishing

Bodybuilding.com is the world’s largest fitness publication. Our digital publishing group (DPG) is responsible for all editorial articles and videos published on the site. We’ve got highly talented writers and editors, designers, and even our own in-house film crew and video production team.

Product Design

Our software products create a unified, engaging customer experience that’s second to none. The product design team is central to developing product roadmaps, feature requirements, testing, usability and design into successful product launches. They walk a mile (or 10) in the user’s shoes to experience their joys and predict their pain points before they even happen.
