How Did You Get Started?
In 6th grade I used to do push-ups all the time. I would do sets of 50 until I reached at least 300, but I usually did 700 a day. My best was 1300. Anyways, I got some seriously good results from that and after that I tried using weights. I messed around with the weights for a couple years and finally joined the gym during the summer between 10th and 11th grade. That's when I started to truly get serious about my training because I didn't want to waste the money I used on the membership.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
Well, the push-ups I used to do got me some of the quickest and best gains so far even though I had no idea what a diet was and I was only 11 years old. But recently, the best gains I got were on a routine that was created by Russian strength trainer, Pavel Tsatsouline. I used the strength routine for my big lifts such as deadlift, bench press, squat, and Romanian deadlifts; for the rest of my lifts (which are almost all compound lifts) I just used heavy weight for 3-5 reps. I also didn't go to failure on anything but came maybe a rep short of failure. That gave me awesome gains and that's the routine I'm doing now still.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
Well, I'm trying real hard to bulk but it's pretty tough for me to eat all the food I need to. But anyways, I try to get in as much calories as I can and eat high protein, high carb meals. I eat 6 meals a day.
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I enjoy bodybuilding because it's fun. I like going to the gym, I like stuffing myself with food, I like getting noticed because of my muscles, etc. I can't go a week without it.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I'm going to compete in May, after that I'm not quite sure, my goals are to bench 405, squat 500, and deadlift 550. They're huge goals for someone of my size and bone structure, but worth trying.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
LIFT HEAVY. Do compound movements mostly and eat like crazy. Do the best you can with what you've got.
Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
I'm not sure. I'm more interested in feats of strength rather than how good somebody looks. I'd have to say Franco Columbo, because he's so incredibly strong and looks amazing at the same time.
