How Did You Get Started?

I got hooked on lifting weights in high school when I would do it for baseball and football. Starting like that was good for me because I learned all the basics and got an idea of what it took to get the results I wanted from lifting. I knew that once I was done playing sports I would start bodybuilding and I ?m loving every minute of it.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I believe in mixing up my routine about every 6 to 12 weeks so my body doesn't get use to anything. Right now I'm doing...

  • Monday and Thursday: Chest and back
  • Tuesday and Friday: Arms
  • Wednesday and Saturday: Legs and shoulders
I also do abs 3 times a week.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Right now I'm trying to build mass, so I'm taking in over 300 grams of protein per day and drinking a lot of water. I love tuna, chicken breast, and lean meat, which all are great for my protein intake. I also like to have a protein bar in between classes in the morning so I don't miss a meal.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

The best supplements I've had so far are Optimum Whey, Twinlab's CLA, Twinlab's Glutamine, and Triple Delicious Protein Bars.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love bodybuilding because it makes me feel so much better and you get out of it exactly what you put into it. If you're big, you earned it and no one can take that away from you. Also, I feel great because I look better, but also because I know that I'm in great shape. I love being able to constantly set goals in the weight room and work toward them. It is a very rewarding experience.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I haven't competed yet, but plan to do so once I get around 210 lbs. I will probably start out in the natural competitions.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Proper nutrition is the key. Supplements are great for helping you achieve your goals, but eating right is most important in getting where you really want to be. Following a strict diet will help tremendously in your routine and writing everything down in a journal is very helpful to keep track of what you ate and what you need to eat for the day.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ronnie Coleman, Franco Columbo, and Flex Wheeler are my favorite bodybuilders.
