For many people, protein powders derived from milk or other animal sources is not an option. Whether you're lactose intolerant, vegetarian, vegan or just looking for a high quality protein, Soy protein is an accommodating option for anybody taking their health and fitness into consideration.
Soy protein has many advantages, such as:
If you won't or can't use whey protein as your protein supplement, soy protein powder should be on your shopping list. This high quality protein contains numerous isoflavones and saponins that can help to support a very healthy immune system.*
Soy protein can be used as a pre-workout or post-workout protein, and is also great as a protein shake to take any time of the day. Best of all, soy protein is incredibly lean in terms of calories and carbohydrates, which is beneficial for builders and burners alike!
For best results, stack soy protein with some fast-digesting carbohydrates to ensure those amino acids get to your muscle cells quickly.*
If you need some protein on the go but don't want to mess with powders or shakers, one of the best things you can turn to when you're rushed is a soy protein bar.
Apart from containing plenty of protein, soy protein bars also contain plenty of amino acids, vitamins and minerals. You can find a lean low-carb and low-calorie option if you're trying to burn some fat, or some heavier carb and calorie packed bars to help build muscle and fuel your day.*
Soy protein bars can be used as a meal alternative or as a snack on the go, so make sure to keep your diet in check with some convenient, quality soy protein bars!
Soy has gained quite a bit of popularity due to its general health applications. The two isoflavones soy contains are genistein and daidzein. They help provide anti-oxidant support and promote good health without adding any calories into your diet.* If you're on a very strict meal plan that doesn't have much room for adding soy based protein powders or foods, this is the perfect option for you. For best results, consume according to the package directions.

"Great flavor and blends great. I mix w cold extra firm tofu, throw in some almonds and a little soy or almond milk. Love it!"

"My post-workout shake is a mix of whey and soy, and I got this to try as a replacement for my previous soy. I really love the ON 100% Whey Gold Extreme Milk Chocolate, so I figured this would be a good match. It is. I mix one scoop of each in milk using a hand-blender, and it comes out smooth but not too thick and tastes great. Definitely recommended for those looking to add soy to the mix."

"This is a great product! Low calorie, low fat, zero cholesterol. Soy based product has everything you need to build lean muscle. It fits my vegetarian diet perfectly. Make sure you use a mixer because it can get clumpy. Great product!"

"I ordered this one in natural flavor with the intention to bake/cook with it. And it works like a charm. The consistency of the powder is more like "flour" than the others I have tried. Highly recommended as a protein addition to your food!"

"This was a really good product for me. It gave me lean protein for my body which can't comfortably handle whey. Its one major downfall is that drinking it without flavoring the liquid is like drinking flour. Gotta get some chocolate syrup if you buy this stuff."

"I love this stuff. I'm lactose intolerant, so I have to turn to soy sometimes. This is unflavored, so I have to mix it into other things (e.g. post-workout chocolate milk). So far, in both consistency and taste, it mixed great with everything I've tried. I haven't tried mixing it with something sweet and watery (think Gatorade or something pretending to be Gatorade) because that doesn't sound like a good idea. In any case, you can't beat the price."

"I use this protein powder to make my own protein bars at home. I cannot tolerate protein shakes or drinks since I am a gastric bypass patient and experience the classic symptoms of dumping syndrome symptoms when I drink them. But I use this powder to make bars and am able to get in 25g of protein per day by simply taking tiny bites of the bar throughout the day so that my body is getting the protein that it needs with my lack of ability to eat a typical 2,000 cal diet. Unflavored is good because it can be mixed with other flavors and I never get tired of it."
