BCAAs

XTEND FREE is the same award-winning XTEND formula with all natural flavors, colors, and sweeteners and is the perfect solution for those looking to avoid certain ingredients while still getting the same world-class benefits of XTEND BCAAs.

Build and preserve muscle

Build and preserve muscle with 7 GRAMS of hypercritical BCAAs — in the nature-designed and widely-researched 2:1:1 ratio — along with Glutamine and Citrulline Malate. Plus, with a proprietary blend of hydration-promoting electrolytes, Scivation XTEND is the delicious, refreshing way to help anyone grind through any training session.*

Perfect Before, After, and During Training

World-class athletes, elite bodybuilders, champion powerlifters, and weight-training enthusiasts of varying types all use Scivation XTEND during their workouts to help them train longer, harder, and with more intensity.* When consuming two servings daily, Scivation XTEND helps to facilitate both fat loss* and new muscle construction.* Also, by orchestrating optimal protein synthesis and by balancing the intracellular energy economy, Scivation XTEND severely truncates recovery time.*

Branched Chain Amino Acids, Not Just Essential Amino Acids

Scivation XTEND contains 7grams of branched-chain amino acids per serving. No hiding, no tricks, no "padding" from cheap or completely random amino acids. Each serving of Scivation XTEND contains 3.5 grams of Leucine to stimulate muscle protein synthesis plus 1.75 grams of Valine and 1.75 grams of Isoleucine.

2:1:1 Ratio Designed by Nature, Proven by Research

Nearly all of the reputable peer-reviewed studies that have highlighted the effectiveness of BCAAs — along with most of the anecdotal information that has sprung forth from the hardcore weight rooms — have investigated a 2:1:1 Leucine to Valine to Isoleucine formula. So despite a starring role for Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine are still vitally important to a multitude of the physique benefits that come from BCAAs.

One noteworthy study investigated muscle protein synthesis from either Leucine on its own or from BCAAs at a 2:1:1 ratio. College-age, recreationally-trained male participants received a straight Leucine supplement, a 2:1:1 BCAA supplement, or a non-caloric placebo before and after a leg workout. As to be expected, Leucine performed better than did the placebo, but the 2:1:1 BCAA ratio bested them both.

Valine & Isoleucine - Vitally Important as Well

Additionally, in an attempt to dazzle you with numbers, some lopsided amino formulas drop the amounts of Valine and Isoleucine in favor or Leucine - a critical mistake - which ends up smothering some other very important benefits. For one, Valine competes with Tryptophan for uptake into the brain, and a brain soaked in Tryptophan will have a much hard time relaying the message to the muscles that they need to work harder and push more weight. Furthermore, in a Japanese study, scientists observed a fat-burning mechanism dependent upon Isoleucine. Subjects who consumed more supplemental Isoleucine gained less body fat than those who did not, even though both groups ate a high-fat diet.

So when it comes to getting the most out of your workouts, whether it be triggering post-workout muscle protein synthesis, thwarting fatigue, or stoking the fat-burning flames, a 2:1:1 BCAA ratio — the same ratio in Scivation XTEND — is the way to go.*

After 10 Years Still Defining and Redefining BCAAs

Love this stuff. Tastes great for a naturally sweetened BCAA. Mixes well. I drink it every day. Pre, Intra, and Post workout. Rest days as well.

xtend free crisp apple is delicious! It is pretty sweet, but there are no off tastes at all as with most bcaa products. Xtend has always been the goto in bcaa products. With electrolytes, citrulline malate, and 7g of the perfect ratio of bcaa's, the profile is great! It is now even better with the free version of xtend. None of the bad stuff, (artificial colors/flavors/sweeteners). I'm happy with the product, and look forward to trying the other flavors of Free.

Being a completely natural product definitely stands out with this product. It has the same amount as the regular Xtend and their is a reason it is one of the top BCAA products on the market. 3.5g of Leucine, 2.5g of GLutamine, and 1.75g of Isoleucine and Valine is a good amount/ratio. I'm also a big fan of the hydration matrix because I've never felt dehyrated during my workouts using this. The 1g of Citrulline is nice also but I wish it had at least 2 grams. Now due to being an all natural product the flavor was a little bit rough in the beginning. It slowly grew on me but I still wasnt a huge fan of it. Crisp Apple wasn't bad but was only a little bit above average to meI liked this BCAA for being completely natural and having the right ratio/amount of BCAAs in it. I had no issues with it and liked the product overall.

Good amino product that is as pure as can be. Exactly what you want to know since a lot of supplement companies make claims that are unfounded and the product falls short. Great flavor, a little foamy when shaken, but easily drank and good ratios/profile. Worth getting on sales IMO, just because most of the time I would order a bigger size and get a little bit better $/serving with my BCAAs.

Efficacy: 10/10 What appeals to me about Scivation Xtend BCAA is obviously the BCAA's. I'm up at 4:30am 5 days per week to go to the gym and I find myself always trying to optimize what I eat prior to training and while I'm there. I could drink a protein shake, but I'm not sure that'd digest the best, nor the quickest. So I've been a BCAA lover for the past couple years since it's easily digested and triggers MPS if you get enough of Leucine (~3g). This BCAA supplement has 3.5g Leucine, and 1.75g Isoleucine and 1.75g Valine, exceeding the mark I like to hit with BCAA's. It also has some added Electrolytes and Citrulline (albeit extremely low dose), so for me, this BCAA is exactly what one would want in a BCAA supplement. Taste: 4/10 The Strawberry Kiwi flavor and flavoring system Scivation used in this product is not great. If you've ever bought bulk leucine powder, you'd know how awful that tastes. Scivation was barely able to cover up the flavor without the use of artificial dyes and sweeteners. No matter how much water was used, the taste was always the same. I find myself mixing it with other supplements to mask the taste, which in turn, adds artificial dyes and sweeteners to the mix. But I find that it's worth it with this supplement. Mixability: 6/10 Lots of foaming. Normally with BCAA products, I expect a little because I know how Leucine mixes up. But there was much more than normal, making the taste and drinking experience even worse

Xtend is the best and most popular BCAA product for a reason. All the BCAA flavors they have a very good. I got to try the Crisp Apple, and it did not disappoint. I give the product overall a 10/10 because of the profile, and the flavor a 8/10. To my "Crisp Apple" is more of a sourish taste, but this tasted more like 'ripe apple' to me. I tried to mix it in various amount of water, since the flavor is not as strong as original Xtend, i recommdn follow the directions and use 8-24oz of water. Normally i would put 2 scopps in a gallon and drink it throuout the day, but this doesnt pack the flavor punch,

Xtend Free uses the foundation of all the Xtend products; L-Leucine, L-Glutamine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, Electrolyte Blend, and Citrulline Malate. The Free difference is in the flavoring. Scivation dropped the artificial flavorings and colors and opted for High Purity Steviol Glycosides, aka stevia. I've been waiting, waiting, waiting (you get the idea) for companies to drop the artificial garbage and go for all natural flavorings and finally there is another big name brand doing it, and doing it well. They offer 2 flavors, Crisp Apple and Strawberry Kiwi. I tried out the Crisp Apple and it is very well done. On first taste it's quite tangy, like sour green apple tangy and tart. After your taste buds get used to the malic acid it is really nice and balanced. I am very impressed with Scivation's use of stevia in this product and the great flavor since it's difficult to get stevia to taste on par with artificial sweeteners. Performance wise it is excellent as any Xtend product if you haven't tried one. The Citrulline helps to make your pump last and the hydration is excellent with the electrolyte blend and aminos.

It's hard to believe that this is free of a lot of things I dislike when it taste so good. This is in my opinion a lite toned down Xtend compared to the others. If you want one that has less chemicals in it then this is your product. This may or may not become my new favorite over the regular Xtend Watermelon. Not sure yet. It mixes very easy. The crisp apple was on point like all their other flavors. It's worth giving a try if you're into a more clean BCAA. This is more closer to flavored water since it tones down. Still has all the great benefits though of BCAAs. Just like in my other reviews on this line it keep my hydrated and feeling refreshed. I definitely notice a difference when not taken.

I strongly recommend this natural bcaa formula to everyone of all ages and exercise/sport disciplines as there aren't any downsides & keeps you from breaking down valuable muscle. The endurance, recovery & pump support are highly appreciated for long, strenuous physical endeavors and best of all the flavoring is actually phenomenal, especially 14-26oz of water.

Great bcaa as is any xtend. the flavoring is different from the original and ripped as it reminds me of what i would say is a diet xtend. this does not take away from the flavor though it is much different from the others. iv taken it intra wokrout and its been keeping me hydrated and keeps me going throughout. i took it in the mornings a couple of times right after waking up , just for a little morning jolt. and it got rid of that morning grogy , dehydrated feeling i normally get. product is great.10/10 flavoring would be a 8/10 for as it is still good i just prefer the taste of the original.

Xtend Free is another good BCAA option. This product tastes decent, but has an amazing ingredient profile with no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners! The biggest thing for me is the after taste but with the label and being a BCAA it does not surprise me considering BCAA's are very bitter, you know what I mean if you have tried unflavored before. Taste 8/10 Mixability 10/10 Ingredient Profile 10/10 Recovery 10/10 Price 9/10 Overall 9.4 rounds down to a 9

I was lucky enough to get a tub of the Xtend Free to try out, I've used a lot of xtend in the past and have been intrigued by the new formula free of artificial dyes, sweeteners etc. I will say I was a bit skeptical of it tasting any good at all as you have a preconceived notion of what most typical apple stuff taste like usually more jolly rancher flavor. This is a much lighter tasting product as you would expect but it is super refreshing and something I could definitely see myself having on a daily basis. This has all the great formula and benefits of the regular xtend but without all the stuff that some might find questionable or trying to clean up their diet of anything artificial. The price point is right per serving so I would definitely recommend to all.

Xtend Free is the basic Xtend formula, which is 7 grams of BCAAs in a 2:1:1 ratio, 1 gram of citrulline malate, 2.5 grams of l-glutamine, and electrolytes, without any artificial colors or sweetners. Stevia is used for the sweetening, and it gets the job done well here. Overall, it is really nice to see a product that forgoes the commonly used artificial ingredients, especially if you're someone who uses multiple supplements like a pre-workout, protein, and intra-workout. It is nice not to keep increasing sucralose and artificial coloring intake. The basic Xtend formula is obviously a winner as everyone who has used it knows. The BCAA does is large and respectable and the other add ons are great. The formula is priced competitively although the Free version is more than the original. During my use of the product, I have had improved recovery, better intra-workout hydration, and generally improved performance in the gym. Top of the line intra-workout product. The crisp apple flavor is great. Easy to drink and hits the apple flavor on point, but it is optimal in between 20 and 30 oz of water. Typically Xtend flavors are pretty well suited to significant dilution and this is the case here. Stevia flavored product will definitely be different compared to sucralose flavored supps so know that going in, but the flavor is still something to savor and enjoy. Taste - 9/10 Overall - 10/10

This is a great addition to the Xtend line for those looking for a natural amino product. The product is just like the regular Xtend but it has no dyes/fillers. The difference is that the Free has some sugars which means 8 calories per serving, keep that in mind if dieting! The Xtend Free is a few dollars more expensive than the regular Xtend. Compared to other aminos it is about the same if not cheaper than similar products on the market. It's less than a dollar per serving which is a good price for an amino product. The powder mixes well but it leaves some foam at the top after shaking. This is a naturally flavored product so keep that in mind while assessing the flavor. The flavor was better than I expected and better than other naturally flavored products I have tried. It is a sweet tasting strawberry kiwi with some bitterness to it. I take aminos during my workout to help with recovery and this product delivered. Compared to not taking aminos my recovery was faster and my workouts were better while using this product. It also claims to build muscle and burn fat which would happen with long term use and a good diet/exercise program. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an amino product, especially those looking for a natural amino product.
