Hi! I bought the Harbinger Lifting Hooks in the bodybuilding.com and received the product in december. At start I was happy with the product, but after some days of training, the plastic start to tear through the tip of the hooks. I´m very sad about that.
Using for 2 months so can't speak for the durability yet. However, they are basically the same as straps but more convenient and faster to apply than straps. They provide less of a secure wrap around your wrist if you already have gloves with wrist support, obviously.
I lifted 675lbs with them. I do not know the max load for them, but they worked great for that lift. I had an injury to my forearm and decided to use them. Was a great choice.
Good investment !!!! Love these and will recommend to anyone!
Based on the previous review I decided to buy a pair. After the order had arrived, I was verry dissapointed of the poor quality of the products (yes from 2 pieces both have flows - not the same producs)(even the blue hooks are not painted corectly - probably to reduce costs). I am not talking about scratches after usage...the product is not even open and I already feel sorry for buying them. After a small discussion with a bodybuilding consultant... witch took forever (after some quick questions about my identity / the same that I put in the chat start-up), I was able to talk within 15-20m per each question... not talking about the fact that the answer were not complete). Now I have to return them on my expenses witch means a waste of money(probably half of the product value for posting)...good business bodybilding.trash I"m giving 3* to the product ( I understant that some products are not 100% but still people some Quality Checks before shipping or some kind of visual checks) I must give 1* to bosybuilding for lack of comunication... I had to waste almost 2h to ask for a refund ...and the guy asked me to pay for the shipping even it was not my fault(giving me a incomplete adress :)) ) Total raiting 2 (not even an I am sorry for this... this is a mistake... or anything ... no YOU HAVE TO SEND IT TO US and pay the post This is my last order of equipment from this site...and probably MY LAST ORDER.
Excellent Tool to prevent your hands and forearms from getting exhausted too early. I'm now able to work my Traps and Back and do Biceps on the same day, no need to worry about doing one before the other, etc. The Hooks are contoured and very comfortable, fit right in the palms of your hands so they feel natural. Wish I had purchased these much sooner!!!
After using Versa Gripps for several years, I was ready to try something new. These lifting hooks really help me isolate my back muscles and I'm thrilled with my back progress since I started using them! Highly recommended.
Does what it says. My strength is good on its own but was holding me back from increasing my deadlft strength. Skipped past a 290lb pr without a beat after strapping into these.
These are very comfortable and easy to use. It has allowed me to lift much more weight than my natural grip can withstand. No additional stress on wrist and finger joints. I highly recommend these for the heavy lifts no matter who you are it allows you to concentrate on the lift and not worry about the grip!
I really like using these with my female clients who have strong hips but weak forearms. It can be tough for them the hold the weight even though their hips can handle it. Quality products and worth the purchase.
Really like these, the best of my "hooks" and straps. I like the ability to adjust how far down the hand they go and you can also use them as reverse hooks. I find they work better for me reversed, also easier to "hook" when reversed for me. Have been able to max out the machines at 255 on seated pulls and lat pull downs without issue. Anything requiring a pull set, these will work. For comparison: when I used the Schiek Power Lifting Hooks (they are 3" wide) I just feel like when I get to the heavy weight they want to slip. Also I can not get a good grip with the large metal hook under three of my fingers with my thumb and pinky finger to the side. These hooks let you put your fingers between the actual "hook". I have used the Schiek Dowel Lifting Straps and their longer straps, but frankly; I get tired of messing with straps and getting them wrapped tightly and I don't need the frustration of them when lifting.
I have recently purchased many sets of lifting hooks looking for the satisfaction of an old set I used to own but misplaced during a move and until now was unhappy. These hooks fit well, are easy to put on, are well padded (handy for 400+ pound lifts) and easily support the weight with no hand grip at all if necessary. I normally start my lifts with full hand strength but as my hand strength deteriorates my lifting does not as the hooks take over the grip for me and allow me to keep lifting heavy. They have two hooks positions so should fit most hands comfortably and more importantly in the proper location on the hand (palm instead of a fingertip grip). I am very pleased with these and would buy them again if they ever wear out but I don't see that happen soon as they are very well constructed.
